Firstly i never feed these corals in this tank as leather corals and soft corals get everything they need from the light . Trying to feed is a waste of time and money and dirties up your water for no reason causing nitrates and phosphates leading to nuisance hair algae
temperature around 72-78 degrees F.
Alkalinity 7-8 dKh
Magnesium 12000-14000ppm
Calcium 400-450ppm
phosphates 0.01-0.05 ppm
nitrates 1-10ppm
Lighting Medium i keep my lights on for 9 hours ramping up and down for 1 hour
Shedding: As with most leather corals they may go through periods when their polyps do not extend. They may shrink and shed some of their outer skin. Do not be alarmed if this should occur as it is a natural process that they go through. These leathers may remain closed for several days at a time but will reopen bigger and more beautiful than ever. Remember to always run carbon in a leather corals tank as when they shed it can be toxic to the other corals
