Mix of tetra in the 32..white cloud minow in the 9..love both tank. Prefer the black one..I took a white one for the 32...its...a lot of white...😊
@freshflowaquaticsАй бұрын
@@AnNo_001 Great fish choices for both. Lol, the white is a lot of white for sure. I also prefer the black cause the algae is a bit easier to hide. The slightest growth on the white background is so in your face.

I love my Fluval Flex 15. I have Kubotai Rasbora and a pair of Apistogramma Borellii. I changed the stock light and siliconed in a Fluval aqua sky as I can control it from the app. Great review 🤙🏼

Does the flex 15 gallon need a bubbler or air stone?

Would a group of rummy nose rasboras work in a taller tank like this?

i was just wondering should i be worried about a couple scratches on my 15 gallon fluval flex they dont seem to be deep but can be felt with my nail i was just wondering could this turn into my tank cracking?
@freshflowaquatics19 күн бұрын
Probably not. Scratches are pretty common for an aged aquarium. This one certainly has a few having been used for the better part of a decade. If they are really deep scratches that might be a cause for concern, but at that point we'd be talking about cracks, not scratches.

a pair of German Blue Rams or some of the other smaller rams would do well in that tank as well. They have personality and beautiful colors...

Those are a great choice! They definitely are gorgeous fish 🐟

In the past few months, I've had a strong desire to get a Fluval Flex, but I’m considering going for the largest version! I simply want more space to develop my aquascaping ideas and visions! ;-))
@duanebarnes3587Ай бұрын
Great tank have had mine for 5 years. After 2 years noticed the filter chamber was building all kinds of gunk. Removed back filter panel and installed canister filter. Best decision ever. More room for aqua scape and better filtration. Easier maintenance
@freshflowaquaticsАй бұрын
That's a great idea. I've thought about doing that, especially since I keep an open top. You're the first person I've heard say they've done that. Good job and thanks for sharing!
@freshflowaquaticsАй бұрын
You should definitely get the large version! I can't speak highly enough of the Flex. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Thanks for always watching and dropping a comment @vassetz - I appreciate it!

I just got this tank. Is there a heater you recommend?
@freshflowaquatics25 күн бұрын
Not really. Just get something in the 50-100 watt range. There are so many different heaters out there... Whatever is on sale!

Hey love your videos and have been eyeing to pick up a flex this boxing day. Is this tank big enough for a honey gourami and a small school of tetras(6), maybe 1 snail as well?
@freshflowaquaticsАй бұрын
Thank you!! Yea, this tank is definitely big enough for those species. You'll hear some mixed opinions on whether or not to keep honey gouramis in groups. Someone was recently telling me how his are very social and they should never be kept alone.

What type of wood is that? Awesome scape
@freshflowaquaticsАй бұрын
Thank you! I think you'll see the other response, but they're some sort of pine branches. My guess is lodgepole pine. Fish stores don't usually have these vertical branches, so you might need to go look for some out in the forest.

I have one, I like it but it’s not really 15 gallons of space for the fish, I think 2 gallons of it is taken up for the back. I don’t use sand in it like I use to because a lot of the sand builds up in the back so I just use lava rocks. I hate that I can’t slide my hand down the back to give it a good clean. Besides that, I would recommend it but maybe if it’s for a kid’s first tank.
@freshflowaquaticsАй бұрын
You can check out Fish Guild Corp on Etsy. They produce some filter covers for the bottom intake to prevent sand from clogging up the back. That will also increase the flow from the top intake reducing oily surface films. It makes a great beginners tank, but I've been doing aquariums for 30 years and this is still one of my favorites!
@Emg2463Ай бұрын
I would think that the first chamber should have the sponges and the middle chamber, the media...otherwise the media could get all clogged up with the mulm from the tank.
@freshflowaquaticsАй бұрын
That's a great call, thanks for sharing. I'm going to switch them out next time I clean my tank!
