Leather Cuff: DIY Leather Bracelet

I've seen where old tape measures have been used in slap bracelets. This allowed them to lock straight, and then curl around your wrist. A bit trickier to wrap in leather.

If you anneal the copper beforehand it'll be softer and easier to bend
