OH HO HO!!! >=D finally!!! ^^ finally a second part of my favorite graphic engine ;v; hey hey hey!! I have a very small question ;D but an important question ._." why when i download leather on mac does it not let me open it? :c I mean, I downloaded the one that says it's for "Mac", but it still won't let me open it PS: it only tells me "the application cannot be opened" I have Mac os Catalina by the way xd, I don't know if that has anything to do with it :c

it might be because you're on catalina, but i think it might just be your security settings and stuff messing it up, try opening settings and see if you can manually allow the app to open or not

I used this engine for a while and i think its good one. However, sometimes the game crash for no reason. For example, when i add custom stage and want to test it, the game crashes (I think i did everything right (Add png files to stages - your stage name, then go to data - stages data and do json and lua file)). But after all, good engine ;)

the modchart docs are super unfinished, but you can set any property of playstate in modcharts, so probably just look in source/states/PlayState.hx for all variables

leather if you are reading this please reply me lets start with the story of how i have broke leather engine i always wanted to port ui skins from other mods, so i had three in my mind: neo shaggy, vs fireboy and watergirl and another mod vs baphie, so i went creating the folders and everything and i started with neo shaggy, it was ok because the xml was very easy and i made it, ahead i went to try out the vs baphie but i thought it was very difficult and i left the png and xml on the arrows if i could do thatui skin back, then i tried the fireboy and watergirl noteskin, the xml was different so i have strugled a little to do so, when i finally made it i tried to enter another song but it literally crashes (but the songs were using the normal ui skin) the songs i tried to acess was in one mods folder so i tried another one but it stils crashes( the reason it crashes was because of the vs baphie one) so i had the idea of deleting all the content related from vs baphie on that folder, but after i did this i enter another song and appears this message '[lime.utils.assets] ERROR: there is no TEXT asset with an ID of assets/data/ui skins/baphie/config.txt' , but i have already emptied to the trash with the vs baphie things so i started to get desperate emotionally and phisicaly so the only option i could think was delete the folder for leather i made and download another one, i did but even if there werent any mods i still get that message, i try everything i could to make that message dissapear and nothing worked, im so sad and so dumb for made that act, leather was the best to me program and port whenever songs i want to play better 1 point: the grammar errors i made is because im from another country 2 point: if you didn't understand some part just tell me and i can resume it better

btw i didn't read what you wrote, but all i'm saying is, you do know that a github page exists where you can ask questions and write issues about the engine right? literally it's the main supported way of getting the engine (and it's source code) so i highly suggest you write there, instead of on random youtube video comments

The wiki in github is basically useless to me. I have File Extensions enabled, I did everything until I reached the Custom Weeks page. I set you everything. But I gave up because I didn't know what I was doing wrong. I did the stuff, But the mod only showed up in the game, The rest was not there. The wiki is not explaining enough from what I see. So, Someone please tell me where else I can find good Leather Engine tutorials, Or tell me what I am doing wrong so I can fix that annoying problem.

are you sure you did read that part of the wiki correctly? because it pretty obvious how to do things from that page (it explains it in detail through every step), which means there is a problem with what you did. to be honest though, i might just make more tutorials on the engine since from what i know no one else is doing so

Yesterday, I restarted from the first thing, Which Is adding characters into Leather Engine. I finished from the stages & went to the freeplay songs page. I couldn't get that Itty bitty Mistake no matter what. Right now, I'm waiting for the only thing that can help me (Your Tutorials). After my problem is fixed with these videos, I'm goin' all out on the Engine!
