Nice, I like the box stitching. It’s gives me some inspiration for other ideas. The one dislike, was from someone who couldn’t put leather around their sippy cup.

Proud PICT in the UK, we call that a baseball stitch. To us, a box stitch is very different

Very informative,I enjoyed watching you stitch up,and intend to try for doing my own cup,even though I don’t have all the neat tools as you do,I’m making mine up as I’m have to start over (lost all my stuff to the divorce,)ah,possessions,they are fleeting,no?But no sour grapes,like I said,making up as I go along....You did a great job on your cup,and inspired me to do mine...Thank you for that!!!

Nice! I like these “messy” videos better than some slick ones because it shows ppl working in real life conditions. I think it doesn’t matter that your stitch number/spacing is dif from a baseball since you prob won’t be bashing your YETI with a bat whilst it hurls towards you at 100+ mph. We hope. Having just finished a baseball stitch project, I didn’t have a problem following your display. 👍

Very nice! I would have use a thicker thread 🧵 personally, to accentuate the stitching more.

Nice! Yeah, I would have gone with tighter stitches but really like the finished product. Nice job.

Ahhhh, so peaceful with no music blasting. I really enjoyed the video and picked up some tips. It would have been great if my brain could have kept up with the speed of your speed-stitching, but I'll watch again and try to slow it down or watch a real time video on baseball stitching. Nice video!

Yes please. I’d love to see the stitching in more detail. I think I got the concept. Can’t seem to find a good source video for it

I think a curved needle would allow you to get under the edges better. I've used them for other projects & they work pretty well. i like the speed of the video. I put these types of videos in the fastest speed already, just because I can keep up with them. If I put your video into the higher speed, that would be INTENSE! I also loved watching the process of applying the stains & oils in such a fast speed.

Good sleeve, but like others said, I’d go heavier with the thread. My other statement would be to consider sealing your work To prevent staining and provide some water resistance. Unless that’s the intent, to age and weather it. If so disregard.

Where did you get that nice maker’s mark stamp? Waxing your thread will help it to stay in place better while you’re stitching.

Isn’t it faster to multiply the diameter by 3.14?

I bet it would. Just have to account for thickness.

Thank you for the video. If you wanted to make it permanent, what type of glue would you recommend for leather on stainless in addition to the stitching?
@wornwizard

That's a good question. I would look into Barge cement.

try doing normal speed at first, then speeding up for the repetitive actions following. Very hard to follow the stitching for me

If it's your intent to show us how to do this, then speeding up the process is counter productive
@wornwizard
@wornwizard 4 жыл бұрын
Valid point. But if it were 2 hours long, no one will watch it. It's a balance. You can also slow down the speed on your player. I do try to include all steps, but in a compact and watchable edit.

@@wornwizard yes, however, show the process, then go ahead and speed it up🙂👍
