Last November i had surgery on my lumbar from casing a triple 2 rods 8 screws... last Saturday my frame snapped on my 500af and the wreck resulted in a compression fracture of the t10 t11... if i had a neck brace or chest protector on i probably wouldn’t have it. Point is wear the protective gear offered if you can afford it. Being able to walk is cooler than looking cool without all the extra protection

I recently had my 3rd cervical fusion, c3-t2, & now looking for some sort of neck brace that will help support my neck a little more than these braces. I’m not ruling out this brace, just need something with more support. Maybe the Leatt along with a Simpson padded neck support???
@dirtrider92682 жыл бұрын
@@jklivin2007 yes, these braces need 1 to 2 inches of foam on top to make them have less range of motion in a crash. so an EMS race collar style or similar may be better for you at 1/10th the price.

Is there any jersey manufacturer with a wide enough neck to allow this brace be “tucked inside” the collar of the jersey when wearing say, the 4.5 body protector underneath the jersey and allowing the brace to be totally integrated into those dedicated neck brace channels? Thanks.

Hi mate, got Leatt 5.5 for my son with Fox Raptor chest protector. How do you set it up so that he can wear the jersey over the chest protectors and then fit the neck brace. Basically want to have the jersey on over the chest protectors to show his race number
@rmatvmc5 жыл бұрын
Hi Franco. On the product page for the raptor chest pro they show how to fit a neck brace with it in their video. I think you could make it work with the jersey over top of the chest pro but don't quote me on that. If it doesn't work out, you could always go with the 4.5 or 5.5 leatt chest pro to get the best fit possible with their neck brace. We have spotlights on those if you want to see how the brace fits with the jersey over the chest pro. Hope this helps-Chase www.rockymountainatvmc.com/riding-gear/leatt-4.5-roost-deflector-p www.rockymountainatvmc.com/riding-gear/fox-racing-raptor-ce-roost-deflector-p

Do you most people wear the neck brace on top of the jersey and the body armour under the jersey and if so how do you connect the two are you required to cut the jersey
@rmatvmc5 жыл бұрын
It really depends on the roost guard you're running as far as if you wear it over or under the jersey, but yes the neck brace will go over the jersey. Also, some roost deflectors will have tabs that allow you to connect them to a matching neck brace but as long as both pieces are secure and comfortable for you its not necessary to actually connect the two together.

Rocky Mountain ATV MC thx. interested in the Leatt carbon with a Leatt shoulder and rooster armour that offer max protection, I thought I heard u mention in a review the neck brace 6.5 needed to be worm on the outside?

@@WADZUP Yes that's correct. It will be worn on the outside of your jersey.

@@rmatvmc Alright and then the only way to connect it to the armor is to cut a small hole into the jersey but as mentioned you don't believe this is really needed in order to keep the brace secured in place.?

No cutting a hole in the jersey was only mentioned when talking about running the neck brace straps under the jersey instead of over top. This video about half way through might show it a little more clearly: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqrSeKd5e7mcpbM Hopefully that helps!

Can anyone confirm if this will fit nicely with the Alpinestar A10 chest protector? I just had a bad accident and am looking for the best combo of protection for when I return back. I like Leatt or the Atlas neck brace the most but their chest protectors are one size fits all and not the most protective as they dont have CE lvl 2 ratings. I'm 5ft 5, so I'm on the smaller end of things and the one size fits all will likely be big for me.
@rmatvmc4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, this will work decent with the A-10. The Leatt 5.5 Pro HD is CE level 2 front and back. Ashton, the model in the video, is only about 5'7 and it fits him well. I'd watch that video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqrSeKd5e7mcpbM&feature=emb_logo - Chase

so do you think neckbraces are a safety must have or depending how hard you're riding I have got a suzuki drz 400s and have helmet jacket pants gloves and boots but was wondering if you think as a rider you need it. Thus far all I've done is some logging roads and as a commuter bike, but eventually I want to do more extreme stuff.
@rmatvmc5 жыл бұрын
It really comes down to what you personally think. Some people believe they work and others don't. I don't really think it depends on how hard or fast your riding, i've seen riders get neck injuries going relatively slow. I really like mine for hyper extension and whip lash. I also know there are many adventure riders that wear them too, so it's not just and extreme off-road piece of safety equipment.-Chase
@dirtrider92682 жыл бұрын
I think you can start with a Race Collar at 1/10th the price, then go from there. This is expensive given that it still allows much hyperextension toward the rear. By the way, "believe they work" is not how you should buy any safety aid. And Leatt gives the science with force reduction measurements in their material.
