Because 1 layer is more than enough most of the times… spending 2 turns for something that they could easily remove with a grounded poison type is not great

I set em up when I know there's nothing they can do about it, but usually I go for two. Sometimes chip damage is better than another layer of spikes. Just depends

Poison also instantly takes 10% of HP. Toxic poison takes lower amount of HP first, but progressively increases. Sometimes, normal Poison is more convenient.
