@@sercravenmohead3631 I got 250 hours in medieval 2 and the only things I've seen is that its difficult to place units near walls and use archers on walls, that giant battles with high graphic settings just crash the game, and that my events were off so the mongols didn't come, but even then its still my most played game, every game is gonna have some bugs especially old games, I mean I have only started playing like 3 or 4 years ago I think since three kingdoms came out, and I like rome 2 and warhammer 2 they are both in the top 3 of my most played (number 1 is medieval 2) but I still come back to medieval 2 to play the base game or kingdoms or a mod whereas I cannot play warhammer 2 or rome 2 anymore (its also an issue with me not wanting to replay the same nation more than once or twice) So even with all its flaws I think medieval 2 ends up being the best game still Rome is definitely a lot more similar to what you said with the reused assets and bugs, that game isn't very fun unless you play as the romans anyways I'll quit yapping medieval 2 = very good warhammer games and rome 2 = good

Not only did they recreate tabletop, they expanded it. So from your point of view it’s a bad total war but to them it’s a great warhammer game. If by "developers", he meant the programmers, this might as well go unchallenged - because they are just doing their best to execute the tasks that are on the roadmap, oftentimes overworked and underpaid, and it would be above and beyond their pay grade to own product decisions. However, because responsibility increases with power, while the coder can expect some light and friendly ribbing over a beer or two for their decision to work for CA, such as it is, the managers and bosses can 100% expect to be battered pillar to post with criticism in any form, and to be showered with as much opprobrium as as there is. They had the power to set deadlines, make the roadmap and own product direction. They accepted responsibility, they took the money and used their administrative resource and leadership positions to define what success looks like at CA, and they made it look like Rome2 and Hyenas...
