Millions of thanks for the above and beyond fantastic episode of a series I’d almost completely despaired of seeing!

@ytd-r1e Indeed it is - but this episode is from the second series, the entirety of which has yet to materialize on KZbin!

@ytd-r1e Boundless thanks for rescuing this series from the murky depths it’s been inhabiting until now! Excuse me while I hyperventilate...

A real treasure trove of ex-Coronation Street writers, producers and directors were involved in the making of this Granada production. Plus, Granada's MD since their early years Derek Hilton providing the theme music 🎶. A close-knit team this seems. Cheers 🥂 ❤😊

David Roper (Charlie) is still with us, and is now 80 - hard to believe. This show was made between series 3 and 4 of The Cuckoo Waltz, with Diane Keen and David

Wonderful wonderful! We all know that it can be difficult to get insurance companies to come up with the money, but Mrs. Foster (Avis Bunnage) really gives the staff push to the limit. I so enjoyed this sitcom about office life with its many funny moments and the variety of personalities.

Well, well. Norman Clegg forsaking lino rolls for insurance. What would Compo and Foggy think? I was nine at the time, but have only just come across this!

I was seventeen when this aired, so I'd have probably been out with the Lads when this was on.

They could have picked up each side of her chair and carried her out of that office or called the police to evict her. Daft letting her daughter bring food and daft not grabbing all the things and taking them from her, but then there wouldn't be a story to entertain us if they did!
