Do you ever watch these retro channels and they have Dennis the Menace and The Donna Reed Show and things like that, then Beaver comes on and it is just SO much better than any of the other shows of that time about kids, its the genius of the writers and the talent of the actors being able to convincingly deliver the dialogue throughout each episode. Jerry Mathers and Tony Dow were just exceptional. Good ol' Wally, the best big brother in TV history.

Tony Dow is was great in this part. He makes the show work. Sadly, today on his Facebook account, Tony Dow announced that he has had a recurrence of his previous cancer. Fans should show their support for him.
