I adore how your sketchbook tours are so 'real' they are not 'perfect' and really help me to remember that sketchbooks are a place to play and experiment and capture memories

I love to sketch or paint after my son has gone to bed. I try to make art during any down time in my day of course but my favorite time is after a gone to bed. It helps me to relax after a long day of chasing my toddler and cleaning the house. Art is the best therapy for me! You are actually the artist that made me pick up my pencils and brushed again after being told by so many family members that I would never be a professional artist. Now thanks to your inspiration I’ve gotten back into it and started practicing my hardest and I’m very close to producing sellable art! Thank you for making videos!

I appreciate this! 💙✨✌ I love the idea of leaving some sketches unfinished - I think there is a certain aesthetic to unfinished sketches that are unlike any other. It feels so in the moment, and I was reminded of your travel sketchbook from Europe! I hope you've been doing well lately - I noticed that the description says "I hopey ou all enjoyed coming a long" lol 😁

Hullo Alice, I have used sketchbooks to keep projects organized. I love the idea of keeping a sketchbook for quick reference for ideas to get back to, making them bigger or just more detailed! I just never seem to follow through or even go back and look at ideas that just might be good for a final artwork piece. Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful ideas with us and encouraging your viewers to enjoy keeping their own sketchbooks! You have so many wonderful ideas that you should revisit and explore further! I wish you only the very best, take care and enjoy your afternoon!

Thank you for sharing your sketchbook! There are so many fantastic pictures in them and I love the idea of having a "paper companion" for doodling and catching the moment. I too have been carrying a tiny sketchbook in my bag for over a year now - and have not drawn a single line in it. Maybe it is too small after all. At present I'm doing Inktober in my A4 Stillman & Birn alpha, that's more the right size for me. But it's too big to carry around all day.

This is so inspiring. I've been in an art slump lately feeling like I cant do anything right. What's special about this is your motivation to keep going and draw continuously. Not every sketch is perfect (though they are all beautiful) and it's so real and reassuring to see other artists with drawings that are incomplete or imperfect just like my own.💖🌸

I really enjoyed this. I subscribed because I’m more of an admirer of your art than a student. I think if I were to represent my brain on piece of paper, it would be all words. Thanks for sharing! 🙏

I go back and forth with carrying a sketchbook. I like carrying one with me but if I don't use it, I feel like I am carrying extra weight for nothing. Maybe I should try a little pocket size book...I really enjoyed watching your video.

What does it mean for you when you say you draw something from you mind? if there is no visual image? Do you have a concept or an idea that you follow? how did you learn how to follow that? I have aphantasia too and rely too much on references.. when I don't use them I feel like a frustrated toddler not knowing what or how? Even the result shows this (to me not to others). I would love to hear you view on this subject.

I also have aphantasia and I usually get a feeling more than an image. If its based off of or triggered by something real that I vaguely know I'll just go for it but I do tend to gather references all the time.
