Spoilers.... A film where people don't act like people, or talk like people, with no resolution. I have an easier time believing that there is an attack architected by mysterious forces (yet "no one is control" and conspiracies aren't real, as the film tells you) that makes deer get close to people instead of running away from them, Teslas go rogue and try to kill you despite there being no satellites, and a prepper in Long Island has magic pills that can reverse whatever causes teeth to fall out, than a white lady from Park Slope Brooklyn who's married to a liberal comms professor is somehow more racist than a granny from the 1950s. Until of course, she isn't because all she had to do was dance to realize the error of her ways. 10/10 movie made by geniuses, with its thumb on the pulse of present-day America. You know they're geniuses because they divide their film into "parts."

You know how some movies have characters that are unlikeable, but in a good way? How characters can be depicted as bad people, but you still enjoy their screen time? This movie is the opposite of that. The characters are so horribly unlikeable, but in a REALLY bad way. Bad as in makes you want to scream through the TV and tell them to shut up every time they talk. Bad as in it makes you actually dislike the actors. Bad as in I can't even stand to look at Julia Roberts' face after seeing this.

This film was in essence creative masturbation by the director and writer. It was terrible in almost every way. The movie was an absolute mess. It never earned any of the suspense it was trying to create, the daughter of G.H. was insufferable and a racist for no reason that was conveyed, and the story was so undeveloped that it was infuriating. Julia Roberts character was portrayed as this hateful person but we never really get to understand why. The forced sexual innuendo between her and G.H. and then again between the husband and the daughter was just dreadful and served NO purpose. The daughters claim that the husband wanted to do her was at odds with the fact that she went after him and broached the sexual topics. The sons over the top lyme disease infection would have papers written about it. For even a rash to develop takes as much as 30 days, so to go to vomiting blood and losing teeth in 24 hours is idiotic and served no purpose but fake shock value and to push them to the neighbors estate. This could have been more realistically portrayed by him slipping and breaking an arm on the pool deck or something. The ending was just crap and seemed like the writers were tired and wrote that ending as a joke before a weekend....but then forgot to change it and put it in the film. The premise for the movie could have been really good if handled better. I want to see a well written story of an apocalyptic thing like this but after sitting through this movie, I still have not. A movie about people trying to understand the collapse of civilization without access to 24 hour news and updates on our cell phones, their struggle to cope with societal changes, the desperation of being uninformed, scared, and dealing with mass scarcity would be a fantastic story line. Seeing the big city being destroyed in the distance and having the sudden realization that nothing will ever be the same again.....would be incredible. Instead....we got this. It sucked.

THIS MOVIE WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! As a so-called Black Native American, I noticed how Amanda kept referring to the black man's house house as HER HOUSE or when speaking to her husband as THEIR HOUSE, this is exactly what they did when they stole this country, she was also was the greatest accuser of the black family G.H. and Ruth Scott and had an instant grudge from her first time laying eyes on them, she made assumption upon assumption about them as well as their status and agenda and felt as though they were up to no good and wanted to take something away from her and her family as she made excuses as to how he had the keys to the house. The ship that crashes on the beach is named White Lion. Lion is the other name of the Mithras and it landing on beach because of a navigational error is because the satellites are down. For a short while, the radio starts picking transmission talking about cyber attacks affecting migration patterns of animals. Also other birds flying in weird patterns and such... this makes one think if the events occurring are really a cyber attack, or is it the CME from Sun in reality. The bell is a reference to the trumpet the angels blow to advance the apocalyptic stages of Bible. The eclipse is a symbolism of "end of times" when moon and sun comes together, clashing, fighting however it's mostly an end to the current cycle of time, opening a new era in human timeline but whenever this is shown, things are about to get ugly. She was quick to say that G.H. and Ruth Scott were probably caretakers and help maids of the house working for the true white owners of the property because there was no way it could have possibly been their home and as soon as she felt G.H. Scott had information pertaining to the events she demanded that he give it to her by yelling at him and Ruth. Amanda refused to believe the house could possibly belong to a black family which is exact how Napoleon felt when he first invaded Egypt and saw all of the *great black architecture*, the Clay immediately wanted to gain access to the alcohol cabinet and the wife immediately made the house hers by drinking all of the wine, this was equivalent to stealing all the resources of a stolen land. After the white family decided to leave they quickly realized that they were in danger the WHITE Tesla cars represented how they will use A.I. in as a weapon or in a way to block us from having access to getting in or out of a bad situation, in the future and should have listened to G.H. who ultimately represented the old slave mentality doing anything to please his masters while Ruth represented the newer more woke and rebellious generation of free thinkers, she did not trust the her oppressors and called her fathers decision on why they has to bow down and live beneath the white family in their own house even though the white family were guest. Amanda even admitted that she was mean to G.H. and Ruth Scott intentionally without a true reason and when she was alone with him she was game for them being romantic with him as in the days of old when the white slave master husband was away. She went from low key seducing him at the kitchen table to them holding each other after listening to and dancing to BLACK MUSIC because as much as they claim to dislike and distrust us, they secretly love our culture. Archie was bitten in the woods and quickly got sick and needed the help of the black father to save him, just like the Black Native Americans had to help and save the colonizers when they first showed up sick and dying of disease. His neighbor Danny had on a cowboys ball cap and carried a shotgun, the star on the ball cap represented the five pointed STAR badge worn by the deputized KKK paddy rollers aka police during the days of slavery as well as today and he represented the law and the gatekeeper of knowledge and power*, he even took $1000 worth of worthless currency from *Clay because it is their natural wicked nature to take take take and only give back when it benefits them. Archie was secretly taking photos of Ruth by the pool and lusting over her as they so often did and still are known for doing to this very day and out in the woods when Rose and Archie kids stood together, their shits read OBEY NASA which has multiple meanings (1) Obey the government and (2) Obey Master or Massa. Her children was naturally disobedient, curious and always exploring new places they had no business belonging at, Rose illegally invaded the property and broke into the neighbors mansion and immediately made it her own as she wasted no time stealing all the resources she could get her hands on, rambling through the house and ultimately finding the bunker where she we could see her selfishness on display once again, by her ignoring her mother looking calling for her as she decided on watching the TV series Friends, that BTW had ZERO BLACK PEOPLE IN IT because out of everything going on in the world, a show not based upon reality is what made her HAPPY and this was most important to both white woman in this movie.
