I've listened to this more times than I can count. This made me feel better when I was grieving my father's death. Thank you!

I have read this poem to myself, but this is the first time I have heard it read *to* me by another voice. Incredible, and oh so moving. Thank you.

I'm so fortunate to live so close to Walt Whitman's final resting place in Harleigh Cemetery in Camden, NJ. I frequently visit him and gather inspiration for life. I'm not poetic, but I definitely appreciate the beauty of it, of life.

It's magnificent how one being can enlighten the flourished yet hidden world of no lamentations or duties to others who are quite blind and busy in the race.

I am not too partial to poetry but free verse. This has touched me profoundly. Especially now,in this tender moment of my life. This is a master piece. and the narrating voice is an absolute pleasure to listen to. Wherever you are Whitman,I choose to believe every word you have said.

Much like the grass that grows on the other side of the hill, this poem envigorates the qualities of youth found only in the nectar of life itself. Whitman is a literary genius, who compels his audience to reach out into the dark and find knowledge that can only be attained through the hieroglyphic nature of wisdom, time and sorrow. 10/10 would watch this video again!

My ex-husband was a fan of Walt Whitman, though I hadn't read much from him. Been more curious to do so in recent time. Thanks for creating this for us out here to listen to.

It took just three and a bit minutes out of my sunday afternoon... what a wonderful and pensive interlude .. I guess life is packed to the gills with beautiful unspoken moments.. if we choose to see them as Whitman did x

The blade of grass makes a y the route to make a y that make the blade of grass this all points to one thing who made it the letter Y in his name Yahweh and the animals are moved by Spirit law and a perfect espirit long moves with unerring accuracy and they were also created a day before us I might say the Earth was fresher so they ain't need no soul because they don't lose anything or need any saving
