As I said on your FB post, amazing to see how you make the painting come to life. Beautiful. Is there a specific rule or reason as to the order you paint the sky and land/iceberg? I see you going back and forth between the two. Is there a reason for that?

Thanks Judy. I move around the painting a lot in order to develop it more cohesively. Everything relates to everything else, and this allow me to continually compare colour relationships, tones, contrast, etc. and make alterations as I go. It also helps me to stay loose at the beginning, and not be shy about making those changes. Get stuck too long perfecting one section, and it becomes harder to wipe it out and start over!

@@CoryTrepanier Why thank you for your reply Cory. I've never had any art lessons growing up, but now am in a little seniors' art group/class with a very lovely teacher who used to teach art to people with needs.. My problem is indeed getting stuck trying to perfect one or more sections. She does tell me to try to be looser and dare to try things out. It's fun but sometimes frustrating as well with such minimal knowledge of art. Thanks again. Hope you had a wonderful Canada Day yesterday with your family.
