Leaving Cert Higher Level Maths 2020 Paper 2 Question 1 Solutions

This is the solution to leaving cert higher level maths 2020 paper 2 question 1. This is a coordinate geometry of the line question, in part a we have to find the equation of a line when given two points and then find the perpendicular distance between this line and a third point. In part b we need to find the angle between a line and the x axis by doing a but of rearranging of a formula and simple bit of trigonometry and geometry.

I think using the angle between 2 slopes formula is the easiest and fastest way of doing part b. Your given one slope and the other is just tan60.
