You cant just send them back by leaving the ECHR. Theres international treaties and laws. They still state that those escaping war torn countries or persecution cant be deported. Theres so much more that needs to be done at home to send those back legally. The Home Office and its civil servants are incompetant. So we could have farage in and leave ECHR only to find the civil servants are helping the immigrants stay here, or to find international laws say they have to stay. We need to sort the home office out first make sure we do things properly, get rid of the incompetant civil servants then we will see if we need to leave ECHR or not. Its not as simple as farage likes to make out.

Tory members faced a very difficult choice; whether to select a candidate with an almost zero chance of leading them to victory at the next general election, or one with an absolute zero chance. It seems they have chosen the latter. "Meet the new boss; same as the old boss". With a Tory membership of 130k, she has far less than 50% of its support, by the way.

@achosenman9376Күн бұрын
They did it because they get brownie points from those that can’t see what’s happening. Prices will go up to cover the cost of the new minimum wage and the employers NI contributions increase. That means people won’t have more buying power in real terms and there will be less jobs going around to add to the misery. The decision to elect Kemi Badenoch as the leader of the Conservative Party demonstrates that the party has failed to grasp the lessons from their recent defeat in the last general election. This choice clearly indicates that they have no plans to withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). The implications of this leadership selection suggest a continuation of the same strategies and policies that contributed to their earlier electoral loss, reflecting a lack of willingness to adapt or reconsider their approach in order to regain public support.
