I really liked the idea of asking the shop owners to take photo's of their special items! Great tip and I'm going to try that myself as I live in the eldest city of the Netherlands with lots of old buildings and history.

Hi Andrew, Thanks for your sharing your walks! Brought me great memories from the time living in NL. Like me, you still find joy in the little things to capture as stock and uploading (at the end of the day we know it won't sell for much). Ever consider investing a drone? Should be fun to fly it out there but would probably have to be a heavier drone to tackle those winds! All the best - Alex

Hi Alex I remember reading your book and having a similar feeling when looking at all of your pics taken in the Netherlands. It's fun and a little adventure getting out and hunting for that image that makes you smile. I'll be investing in a second hand drone, most likely a little one. I am a bit phased by all of the rules and regs connected to the heavier ones. I think the tulip fields will look good from the air with good backgrounds such as moving trains. Thanks for watching amigo and glad you enjoyed!

Great video, Andrew. It was really enjoyable to watch. You picked up some good shots on your walk to and back from the barber. I think the newer crop frame sensors are improving fast and do not generate as much noise as the older ones. There is a definite advantage in using a crop sensor body for stock photography as it gives you a greater depth of field for the same ISO and aperture compared to a FF sensor. You can see that in picture taken on your iPhone - smaller sensor > greater depth of field. The other advantage of a crop sensor body is comparatively cheaper lenses. For my travel shots I use a crop sensor body for being lighter. For higher ISO shots I use Topz AI for noise reduction. I correct noise in images in Lightroom shot on up to ISO 3200. I submitted some to Adobe Stock and SS two weeks ago and they were accepted. So glad Hague is safe for leaving your iPhone on a small stand while film yourself taking pics. It would be gone in London in less than one minute... Nice haircut by the way.

thanks for watching and i'm glad you enjoyed the video! you're so right when it comes to the advantages of crop sensors when it comes to depth of field, especially for macro work. But the Canon R7 isn't a good match for me with that sensor of 32 mps. For the same money I can get an R8 with it's fantastic sensor. The Fuju's have excellent cameras such as the xt4 but that would mean I would have to change systems. when II think about it though, I can also have fun just making the most out of the camera and lenses I have and challenge myself to be more creative with my images. Gear isn't everything and making the most of what I have is also a great challenge!

Great video Andrew, I love watching these photo walks. I would do the same here but I'd likely be shot, stabbed, beaten and robbed (in that order). My outdoor stock images are made without me getting out of my car, and with the engine running lol.

Thanks a lot Brett, Great to hear you liked it. I picked my areas carefully and now my knees are better I know I should be able to outrun most hostiles, unless they are on mobility scooters, they are deceptively fast.

Hi Andew.. if I have people on my image with no faces can I upload it as stock photography?

oh that's tricky. You can't upload as commercial content without a signed release. And if the person is able to recognise themselves in the pic The laws are different in each country. I'm no expert. Editorial is different but even those laws such as privacy and portrait laws differ depending on where you live. I generally try not to include people unless it is a public protest or model released.

In France, the nickname of the Citroën 2CV is "Deudeuche"❤ !😅Because deux is two in French. The DS was the car of De Gaulle President in 60'. Also, DS is prononced as same as Déesse (Goddess) in French.😊

@@andrewbalcombe1338 You're welcome ! I really liked the concept of this video where you take the initiative and ask people to take photos. Maybe you should make this type of video most often, leaving the sound on when you manage to talk to them. Also, in the case of the pastry chef, you could perhaps have a business card to give to offer to take commercial photos for her store for example. I hope you sell some !
