I loved this vlog. Alan is the 2nd coolest cat in the world….the 1st coolest cat is my cat Rio who also goes on car trips and walks on a lead like a dog, we even take him to the pub with us. Yes, storage costs do mount up. After storing an old washing machine and a sofa plus some other household junk at Big Yellow for a year and a half, I realised that I had spent £1,500 in total to keep them. As soon as I added it up, I sold the washing machine and sofa for 50 quid each and called it a day 🤷‍♂

Great music Benny. Just wondering are you a fan of the Newcastle's rock folk group Lindisfarne?. Your perfect music. They started in the 70s. We've seen them a few times over the years. This year we saw them at the Tamworth Assembly Rooms and last week at the Town Hall in Birmingham. Check them out, but I'm sure you are aware of them!! Hello guys, I just found your channel after searching about narrow boats and canals, I Gean and I'm from Brazil, my wife @xoejoanna is a British citizen, we live on a 34ft sailboat currently passing through Brazil but coming from Southern Chile, we lived down in patagônia in the last 5 years, anyway I guess we have a different way of boating but we live on the water, nice to see your adventures, cool way of living. When I was in small market radio, I could do trades with restaurants with a line of credit in exhange for advertising, to bring in my clients and we could both choose from the menu. In exchange, ,I would write the commercials so it would be that listeners could see, and "taste", the food in their minds, and they would want to go to that restaurant. Worked great!

Get yourselves a ridge monkey toastie pan(well it’s two pans connected by pins to make hinges,they can be separated)they’re absolutely amazing for making a whatever the heck you like sandwich,then pop it in the ridge monkey and keep turning it over about every 20 seconds(open it to check how toasted the just cooked side is) honestly fantastic,I use mine with my square camping stove and it’s just the right size flame ring,takes about a minute and a half to fully toast a sandwich 🤘🏻😃🤘🏻 10/10 from me

Proper Lovely up your way. I`m on the South coast(Gosport opposite the Isle of Wight). It`s ok here but the nearest canals are Basingstoke feeding into London. I`d love to live on a Narrowboat cruising through the countryside, rent my flat out and retire. The only thing stopping me is if I moved to the Midlands i`d be hundreds of miles from family and help if things go wrong. 🙂

It's always lovely to see the area 😊 I was only there on holidays, but towns seem to have been transformed since forty years ago. Some lovely venues & eateries, by the looks. Perhaps the way to cope with the lack of mooring is to moor Roisin Dubh within striking distance and launch Rambler from the mothership to carry out raids. Lovely vid, thanks for sharing 🙏

A good video to see and good timing. We played for a Contra Dance last night. First dance since the tree fell on me that it wasn't a struggle for my left hand to make the chords. Still lots of healing needed but so good to have that feeling back. I could see that feeling in Ben's face. 👍

This was a very different video to normal but surprisingly I enjoyed it,seeing some of the different narrow boats around.I live in Leicester and you would not believe how different the canal is at moment after 2 storms ,it flooded after the first and is getting close to flooding again.
