Leaving The Cats Home Alone, Wil Boo Have Problems Again? Feral Cat Relationships - S3 E27

Lucky Ferals Season 3. Episode 27. In this episode:
Day 803. The cats got brushed. I think Simba and Boo are trying to be buddies. Hydrox ate a very big dinner. Ditto came by for dinner also. They both ate some cooked chicken also. The inside cats had Tiki Cat sardines for dinner. I started getting them ready for my overnight trip. I’m doing everything as slowly and calmly as possible so no one is stress out. I gave each of the cats about 5 drops of CBD Oil each to keep them calm and relaxed and not stressed about my trip.
Day 804. I left the cats with some of their blankets on the floor and some toys that they haven’t had in awhile. Boo has been stalking everyone else’s automatic feeder. Boo has separation anxiety because Stella and the boys abandoned him when he was living outside and they moved inside. He feels like he’s being abandoned again when I leave him by himself in the house with the other cats downstairs. Simba is worried that Boo might attack him. The cats all need to work on their relationships with each other. Hydrox and Ditto have been interacting on the patio. Let’s check out the security camera footage and see what the cats were up to while I was away.

Fascinating dance and conversation between Hydrox and Ditto. Both declaring tolerance and trust for each other beyond what they would give a human. I remember another cat owner's video on cat vocalization stating that adult cats don't meow to each other. Hydrox and Ditto would question that. Splash seems to like dominance contests and drama a little too much, then goes to be comforted by mom. There is much more variation between cats than between people. Boo seems to stand back, analyze, and plan at times. Splash responds to impulse, emotion, and maybe boredom.

No doubt you remember the episode in which the Lady consulted with pet psychic Sonya Fitzpatrick to learn more about the inner lives of her kittehs: while Boo boasted of being the Lady's "favorite," Simba quietly told Sonya that he, Simba, was "everyone else's favorite [except Boo, who is clearly very much his own favorite among the clowder, if one thinks about it]." Simba is obviously gifted with a high EQ ( _i. e.,_ emotional intelligence), as well as a much smaller ego than his charismatic daddy Boo. 😊🐱😸

@@catmand00 Run Boo's voice through an octave divider to drop it below their fundamentals, because otherwise he'd land at the octave above -- hardly power-chord material. Besides, all one needs for a proper power chord is the open 5th (or 4th), already provided by Hydrox and Ditto if they'd only sound them together. Better yet, run all their voices through a ring modulator and get a celestial kitteh chorus. 😊🐱🐱🐱🎶

There are 3 or 4 shelters in the yard/patio. Hydrox has his own condo with a heated mat and blankets. Another one of the shelters has a mat that reflects their body heat when they lay on it, it also has blankets. The shelters are insulted and have straw to keep them warm also. LF has the best accommodations for any feral in need. ❤😻❤

Well for most part everyone got along..splash tried for Boo but he gave him the look..and Stella did her job of getting Simba in line after being naughty.I was wiaitng for the paradox from mirror mirror touching each other...it is interesting how Hyrox doesnt try to fight anymore and ditto looks like it wants to be friends.

I was thinking the same. Stella is mad at Boo for leaving her to raise the boys and poor Boo is furious that they left him alone outside. Let’s hope that they can all work these issues out... Boo Blvd is like Peyton Place. It’s delightful to watch their interactions when they are alone and feel no one is watching.

@Maria Götz When the Lady refers to this channel as a "cat soap opera," she speaks truth -- and as Stella has gotten to know Boo again as an adult (and _vice versa,_ of course), one can see how, despite her intentions, the Queen is responding, day by day, to the Boo Velvet charisma. One can also see just as manifestly, however, Stella's tendency not to wear her still-wary kitteh heart on her furry sleeve (even around her beloved sons) in her refusal to be seen on-camera showing Boo any affection, though the occasional furtive nose-rub has been documented, as has Stella's slowly increasing apparent comfort with sitting or reclining in Boo's proximity, even if she pointedly refuses to engage him face to face -- but even this bespeaks a gradually growing trust in Boo by Stella, if one thinks about it. As the Washington-state motto holds: "Little by little." 😊🐱🐈👑❤

Seems Cousin Ditto is trying to talk with Hydrox. They seem to be doing pretty well. 🤞🏻 The higher pitch of Cousin Ditto paired nicely with Hydrox’s lower tone. Can see how Boo would feel abandoned when Stella moved inside with her boys, even though Boo went to the woods by himself more after the kittens became mobile. Complex relationship between those two. Happy that Boo and Simba are working towards becoming buddies. Hope you had a great overnight trip. 😻💙💙

It can be so easy sometimes and so hard other times to figure out cat behavior, or to get them to change from a misbehavior. Having four inside and two outside means lots of interpersonal drama and dynamics. Good that overall, they are getting along better.

It looked like everything was harmonious between everyone. Hydrox and Ditto kissed. And Ditto let LF get close. Stella protected Splash when brother Simba started being a bad boy. Splash and Boo seemed okay. Boo and Simba are buds. Boo and Stella need some work. All in all Boo Boulevard didn't have too much drama.

Ah, Hydrox and Ditto were THIS close to touching noses, but something spooked The Grandmaster at the last second. They seemed to be making friendly meows and Hydrox almost had his tail all the way up! For a cat like Ditto to be so "new" to the catio and be accepted so soon by His Nibs is excellent progress. "Don't roll your eyes at me Simba"....that made lol because he really did have that "Oh mom" look on his face. I think Splash was going to sniff Boo since he looked so interested in him, no fight, which is good. Simba, must you do that dominance thing to poor Splash? At least Splashy got some "It's okay my little one" kisses from Stella. I think it might be okay to leave them alone on overnights and work your way up, you're not there when you go to work and they seem okay. Stella was even curious about Boo on the new sofa, but it looked as if she hissed a bit before she left. Can't let Boo know she likes him again. 😻😸
