I get you girl.... i left 1.5 yrs ago after about 18 yrs ... i was questioning during the bethel school of the supernatural at our church about 12 years ago , but i stayed. I left about 9 years ago for 2 yrs and went back til 1.5 yrs ago. Ive been unraveling and deconstructing the NAR mind games and bad theology, desperately holding on to my faith. I love jesus thats what i know and i want the truth of the word. I also found mike winger during 2020 and many other truth teachers. Have you read Holly pivecs book and any of Alisa childers books on the topic? Im finally free and healing but its a daily thing. Additionally, i was finally healed physically after leaving the NAR, same with a friend of mine. We both wrre sick for years while being involved in the NAR

My gf is caught up in this movement (she doesn’t believe it’s an actual movement which sadly it is) & it’s been a tough rollercoaster of emotional events these past 7 months. We’ve been together for 1 year & 8 months. We’ve gone through countless of argument after argument, hurt feelings (which I never meant to do any sort of harm) instead I’ve tried my best to be loving towards this with her but to stand firm in what I hold on to is TRUTH & it has led me to question my own faith in what I believe in. The NAR movement & its teachings are SICK & twisted. It sounds good on the surface but it’s really a relationship killer especially when it involves 2 people who love Christ & love each other through Christ but one has been infected by the NAR disease (because it really is a disease) that seems so hard for one to get out of. The manipulation is real. All I’m left with is prayer & asking the Holy Spirit to open up her ears & her eyes to the deception she’s being led into. I almost feel like it’s my fought for wanting to check out a close friend’s church that just started up. We heard of it before but was interested in going & boy from that day forward I never knew what can of worms I just opened up. I so regret going to this church. It’s what started it all! The countless deliverances (lost count after 10), the dangerous teachings of soul ties & generational curses, WOF teachings, decreeing & declaring. Everything! It’s a jumbled heaping smelly mess! Why is it that she’s not seeing anything wrong with any of this but I’m over here thinking differently about it?! 😩

The charismatic movement make it sound like. You can go to a graveyard and raise the dead even if they been gone 3 years they’ll still believe they’ll be raised from the grave and come back on earth reliving life again.

This happened to me too. It is still difficult for me to find a balance at times as I too dream dreams and have a tendency to want to delve deeply into their meanings. I have also found pastor Winger’s teaching to be so balanced and helpful! Thank you for sharing. Most of my closest friends are still in the NAR and i feel a little solitary at times when it comes to this understanding of the scriptures. Nice to know I’m not the only one!

I'm glad I came across your video. I am coming out from the hyper charismatic movement that I was a large part of. It was when our church began subscribing to the "demon slayer" deliverance movement telling fellow Spirit filled believers they can be harboring a demon. After much prayer and Bible study I discovered all of this was a lie! I am hurt, heartbroken and confused, none of which are from God. I am currently searching for a new church that focuses on the Bible and not these far reaching ideas that draw a crowd and they call it favor. We are in the last days and many are leading people astray! Thank you for making this and confirming my thoughts. It is so hard to undo things you have believed to be true for years. God bless you sister, you are not alone and PRAISE GOD He is opening the eyes of many to these falsehoods. 🙏🙌🙏

I thank God you have found your way out of this movement and I understand how much this has probably affected your walk since leaving but I pray you find a biblical church and that God gives you discernment! It was hard to trust any ministry for a while after this happened but I trusted God and his ability to bring me into a Biblical Church! I will be praying!

I enjoyed your testimony. This movement has been really hurtful to many and it can really put such a burden on a genuine believer to the point where they feel like if they’re not doing any of the things that they claim to do, then they’re not saved. It’s unfortunate because this movement continues to grow and grow. And it’s funny you mentioned how you’re still charismatic and believe in the gifts still. I’m the same way! I love theology, church history etc.. I just really respect the word of God and what He is trying to convey in the text. Many in the hyper Charismatic Movement continue to twist scripture and it shows there’s not really a reverence for God and His word. Thank you again for sharing your testimony. I can tell that you’re sensitive to the Spirit and you genuinely have a love and healthy fear (reverence) of God. Praying for your channel to grow more! Your testimony will help so many who are in this movement. God bless you🙏🏾

@@theouterplanet this, “declaring and decreeing” is not biblical. You can not command “portals of abundance” to come forth, nor is there such thing as such. Please seek after the kingdom of God and he will supply your needs. Look forward to trials and hardships and they produce patience and contentment in you. Stick to the Holy Scriptures that God gave to us.

1) girl, you are beautiful! 2) thank you so much for your courage to speak out. i can relate so much to your testimony after just recently leaving the NAR myself after almost 7 years. i know it's not easy to choose the narrow path, but the Lord sees your obedience and willingness to pay the price and i believe the reward will be great in heaven, even if persecution or "missed opportunities" to be part of the "great things" that so many others are doing happen here on earth. 3) it's clear that you have such a tender and pure heart for the Lord and i think that's so beautiful! i believe your testimony will help lead people out who are still caught up in this deception. the Lord is with you!

I have a remarkably similar testimony, having left the NAR and egalitarianism, but held on to continuationism in a newly careful form. I was in it for more than 20 years, starting when I was a toddler, so their cosmology is deeply engrained, and I'm struggling very much to deconstruct that way of thinking. Have you any advice on that front? Or anyone who sees this
@kaylenforchrist

Yes, study! learn the core basics of the faith and pursue truth. Develop your critical thinking skills so you can protect yourself from future deceit. I have found that there is such a richness in studying the history of Christianity and reading books by the saints who have come before us. I also advise you find a church that teaches the gospel and become a member, those in the church will help you remove what is unbiblical while supporting you. I currently attend a church where my pastor is a cessassionist, though I disagree with this stance, I know that he preaches the Gospel every Sunday, that he is genuine in his faith, and he is a fit leader who is held accountable by the church and its elders. This church is biblical though we may have some theological differences. Likewise, do not focus on those differences focus what scripture says is the requirements of a proper functioning church and find that. If you have any questions on who you should learn from, I strongly recommend mike winger, allen parr, alisa childers, melissa doughtery, and ruslan kd. I have more people I would recommend but these where among the first to help me distinguish truth (of course with the help of the Holy Spirit!) If you have any more questions please, ask away!

So here is the thing about spiritual warfare, few people are called to that, dealing with principles over citys, states and nations is only for people called to that when God has people to do that. Definitely not for everyone! Deliverance ministry and casting demons out of people is more ubiquitous and I think it’s good to be equipped to understand and practice.

The New Apostolic Reformation (C.Peter Wagner and all his "prophets" and "apostles") and the Word of Faith deceivers have damaged the faith of so many people including my family. I have come out of that because of the grace of God. Because of the pandemic I went back to the Bible alone. I read verses in context and pray instead of declaring and decreeing. Totally different gospel and a different Jesus is what the NAR presents. They encourage and practice New Age practices. I was deceived for 30 years. Read Holly Pivec's Counterfeit Christianity. And listen to Mike Winger, Justin Peters, Dawn Hill, Melissa Dougherty, Steven Bancarz, Doreen Virtue( the last 2 came out of New Age).

The baptism in the Holy Spirit is often a separate encounter or event that happens after conversion and I different than water baptism for the remission of sins. Scripture records different kinds of baptism, For example God baptized the whole world in the flood of Noah, God baptized Israel into the wilderness with the Red Sea 🌊 crossing, God baptized Israel again out of the wilderness crossing the Jordan river.

@kaylenforchrist
@kaylenforchrist Жыл бұрын
It would not be wrong to call charismatics a sect but to be a sect there is a willful turning away from the rest of the church and its values. I know that there are many in the charismatic movement that are completely unaware of the abuses and contradictions to scripture. For the sake of being sensitive to those who are trying find the truth, I will continue to call it a church to remain nonhostile towards them. I also would recommend that you refrain from calling them "charasmaniacs." There are many people who are lost in this group, and they need our prayer not our insults. We should think about the future kingdom of God where we want as many charismatics as possible to come to the full knowledge of truth.

Bethel church and BSSM is the most stable charismatic church and ministry school I have been to. Like they are really doing it right! 😊
@janetholmes
@janetholmes 2 ай бұрын
Bethel has so many dangerous false teachings under the guise of Christianity. They elevate the self over Christ. Just because they use scripture verses, does not mean they are applied faithfully. I was heavily involved with these doctrines and it nearly ruined my faith. Years later, I am still trying to recover. I'm a continuationist also. Bethel leaders, like the Banovs, openly brag about grave-soaking on Smith Wigglesworth's grave, which is kind of witchcraft called necromancy. This should be enough warning. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXzPYYCAp8unfJo Did you ever *really* read about C Peter Wagner? Are you completely certain you want to follow people who are devoted to him? When they yell "fire!" do you know that fire is a sign of God's judgement? Have you read about this? Does it bother you? Or what about how drunkeness was a punishment from God given to those who chased after their own pleasure? We are admonished in the word to be sober-minded and vigilant because the devil is about seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8) Consider the fruits of the Spirit, self-control is one of them! The teachers elevate their own personal experiences and boast their own "spiritual prowess" from the pulpit. Is that not mocking God? Who needs the Bible when Heidi Baker is telling tornadoes to go away and magically filling up gas tanks, am I right? How exciting, but no one is learning anything. Maybe God was there and these things *did* happen, but regardless, it's not edifying the body. It makes ultimately makes people wonder why God isn't moving that way in their lives and it causes them to doubt and eventualy lose faith. God isn't some miracle vending machine, He's Sovereign and it's His choice. People are being set up to lose their salvation with this Word of Faith garbage. All you have to do is look up qualities of a cult leader and consider the following Bethel has. Have you noticed how people fawn over the teachers? Doesn't it creep you out? Who really is pursuing the quiet life working with their hands (1 Thessalonians 4:11) in this movement? Is it putting God in a box to pursue contentment with what He has given you? Or does everyone have to have an exubrant call of God on their lives and be anointed like Elijah? How arrogant! People are so in love with their purpose and the teachers feed them what they want to hear. Paul counted everything loss but to know Jesus. Deep humility and sincere repentance is missing. How dare anyone "decree and declare"?!?!? Pretending to be God has its consequences. God is not mocked!!!!! You should run from these things! People seeking "the more of God" is really just whatever their flesh desires. It's dead wrong. The gospel is simple: Jesus died for our sins and we aren't worthy, but He loved us anyway. It's about Him, not us. If His salvation isn't enough for you, then you've gone to another gospel. He isn't "doing a new thing" either, the canon of Scripture is closed. :( This is something leaders say to add gnostic and esoteric false doctrines into the church. There are so, so, so many scriptures and warnings about false teachers. If you haven't evaluated your teachers yet, how will you know if you aren't being deceived? Paul applauded the Bereans for fact-checking him, yet these teachers say to "not touch God's annointed" which is a cult-control tactic. Here are stories from others who were saved from this movement. Their suffering is palpable. There is nothng innocent about being involved with this movement. :( bereanresearch.org/testimonies-leaving-nar-church/ I hope there is enough here to give you pause about the cult you are involved with. It's dangerous for your mental health and faith. Please look into this and keep praying. God will show you the truth! He is faithful. "You will be filled with drunkenness and sorrow. A cup of horror and desolation, the cup of your sister Samaria." (Ezekiel 23:33) "Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy". (Romans 13:13) "But since we belong to the day, let us be sober" (1 Thessalonians 5:8) "Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared" 1 Timothy 4:1-2).

While there is too much to unfold with your statement to leave in a message response, I hope you watched the video all the way through. I pray that God opens your eyes to the truth of the bethel church and BSSM. I will be posting more updated content soon if you want more information. There is no such thing as “too much of the Holy Spirit” rather an over emphasis on the spiritual gifts, misapplying them and placing the gifts above God.

If you feel she wronged her you need to forgive her and not speak against her and repent for speaking against her as she is the lords anointed. You can not blame her for your spiritual struggles, you need to own all your own stuff and quit playing victim.
