the small wheels on the back of her chair are called anti tip bars. where is her seat belt in the van when she rides in her wheelchair ? Is her wheelchair crash tested?

Her seatbelt is her wheelchair's seatbelt. Yes, the quick lock system has been extensively crash tested and is safe.

If we're only driving a very short distance, like to church, it's not a major concern. She sits up without it very well.

Aww, Raelynn was a sleepyhead at first ☺️She’s looking so sweet 💕You sure do have extra steps but neat to see how you have it all set up so well with a regular routine in place, so Raelynn has everything she needs when you go out. Does Raelynn need the feeding tube bag just for this short run to pick up school kids? That sure is a cute dress she has on. Chris it takes me forever to get out the door too and it's just me.

She eats 24/7 to get all the calories she needs (it's a slow feed because she gets her food to her jejunum). Pretty much the only time it's off is shower time.

I saw the school bus driver well he wasn't really a school bus driver he was just a school bus mechanic. But one day he a substitute school bus driver and he was picking up special needs children and he saw his mother trying to get her daughter's full size wheelchair down the stairs. And it was there was like three stairs. So what the mechanic / substitute driver did he built a ramp for the mother and the daughter so it's easier for the mother to push her daughter's wheelchair. It is a similar wheelchair like Raelynn's

How is that even legal in the state of Missouri to just roll a wheelchair into a van and it just”locks in place? Here in Minnesota they don’t even modify vans to just have wheelchairs lock into place. The vans have straps that go around all 4 wheels and a seat belt that goes across the person. The setup that she’s got going on wouldn’t be safe if there was an accident.

The EZ lock systems are safe and legal. I can't find anything saying they are not allowed in any states.

Sometimes I’d forget my head if it wasn’t attached to my neck and shoulders! I often get in my van and forget that I should put my lap tray on! Then we have to undo all the tie down straps!

@@HopeAndSunshine Have you ever stubbed your toe on those antitip wheels when pushing Raelynn. I have them but generally keep them off unless i have a heavy bag. The only issue I've had though is my heavy backpack caught the hand levers for my tilt and tilted the chair from then on when I was at school I just carried the backpack since I was being pushed anyway

They've definitely gotten in the way before. But they can also be useful so we generally keep them on.
