I haven't been back home to Lebanon for 5 years now, and I can't begin to describe how beautiful and nostalgic this series is. I genuinely don't want it to end. I can almost taste the toum and smell the bakeries with you! Thank you David for portraying the beauty Lebanon has to offer and its divine cuisine!

Just discovered your channel and subscribed. My family left Beirut right before the Civil War started in 1975. My last visit home was in 1983, I haven't been back since then. I wish I had the means to visit, I still have extended family in Lebanon. Thank you for sharing your videos.

Love your videos and Nicolas did a great job showing you all of Lebanon in a non-biased way. I've watched other youtubers and it always upsets me how they only focus on the christian areas but not show the beauty of all of Lebanon. I really appreciate u giving every city equal importance and highlighting things that I haven't visited as a Lebanese. Seeing what you've done in your videos on Lebanon, I will definitely be checking out ur videos in other countries that I plan to travel to as I feel that I can trust the content. Thanks!

If anyone missed it the chicken shop owner was saying "Broasted" not roasted. It's delicious for sure but the most interesting part of it is that it is a midwestern US technique that David is able to enjoy in Lebanon with their own customizations. "Broasted chicken is more complicated than it seems, a promising moment in postwar Wisconsin that has now gone global via Pakistan and India, picking up surprising flavors before coming home to roost."

It's called dog river because the ancient Egyptians believed that Anubis (the God of the underworld) represented as a man with the head of a dog entered his domain through the Jieta caves. I think you need a new guide.

The guy with the black sweater who was preparing the fried chicken has lived in or visited my country Belgium, because the text on his sweater reads 'zwoateloare' and that means 'he talks bullshit' in the dialect of the North-sea region in Belgium. Funny to see this, the world is small :-)
