So heartbraking seeing Fouad Chehab in the golden years of the country. By comparison, today that country isn’t even a country, but a doomed place, a trash

True, however without Arab aggression in 1948 they could have remained in their homeland, got Israeli citizenship which means real citizens’ rights (and not those trash passports or dictators from corrupt Arab countries) like those who didn’t have to leave the country. Plus, after another 50 years one could expect them all to get Lebanese citizenship. Also if this is not a good passport at all.

G’day from a Lebanese born Australian. Good luck with getting a clean Politician in Lebanon because I think that it is impossible to find one. All are lying corrupt thieves and their underlings are no different. The Zooama will rule Lebanon like the mafia that they really are dividing up the wealth and trust of the citizens. Lebanon is the biggest exporter of its citizens in the world and those are the reasons and the politicians don’t care if the people starve so long as they’re in power.

@@kaus3587 Its not impossible, it's simply difficult for them to exercise real authority that challenges the game established by the corrupt elite. I have written about corruption and its history in a piece for the Interzine called, "Lebanon's finest or final hour?" I encourage you to read and share.
