Interesting thoughts… I have the colorway you reviewed and I’ve literally never had to wipe the shoe on dust (I also have the white Akoya colorway and do have to wipe those). The cushioning also feels pretty low to the ground to me, even with all the tech (they basically feel like thicker Kobe’s). Love your reviews and hate that the shoe didn’t work for you. The Abalone colorway is personally the best shoe I’ve played in in recent memory so I doubled up 🤷🏾‍♂️ For reference, I’m a 5’11” 205 lbs combo guard (usually bring the ball up but also basically a combo guard that comes off screens and drives).

I am not sure why I have had a lot of inconstancy with Nike shoes performances. From my experience, some of the other reviewers said the 21’s traction was bad and had the same experience I did: while others said it was amazing more similar to your experience… I really loved this shoe- but for some reason they just don’t work for me. I’m happy that someone at our size can find something good.

I think they may night be high off the ground, but for some reason they are unstable for me which makes my body think they are unstable. They do feel Kobe like- just a bummer they couldn’t work for me. I wore them a lot more after this and they got a bit better, but I still won’t play seriously in them.

@@ttvWideShoes I will say this: I have now had 6 pairs of this shoe, 4 pairs being the black Tahitian colorway. In those, for whatever reason, I couldn’t feel the Zoom Turbo. At first I thought it was just a faulty pair but I tried 3 more and couldn’t feel it in any of them. I also have had inconsistencies with some of the fit amongst pairs. I know the 20s had the Vietnam vs China made problem but I don’t think that’s as much of an issue this year. I feel you on the QC of Lebrons these past two versions, Nike just seems to be hit or miss with his shoes.

I don’t think they feel high off the ground at all. I have Lebron 20, KD 15, Jordan 38, and I think the Bron 21’s have the most court feel out of all of them. This is my favorite cushioning setup ever. So well balanced. Feels similar to harden vol 7 but the zoom units make it better and cushlon a little softer. My only issue with the shoe is I wish the traction was more consistent.

I think the quality control on these are all over the place. I have heard that some people get zoom units that are busted and therefore feel lower to the ground. I’m not sure- I have all the shoes you’ve listed and these just feel unsafe to me. Maybe it’s the lack of stability that makes my body think it’s higher off the ground than it really is.

I think maybe why I felt high off the ground was due to instability. Not because the shoe is actually high off the ground. It could have also been a quality control issue… but yea everyone has Been asking me about this factor.

@@markuzarkinbartolo3520 appreciate it: sorry for the delay in videos. The AE1 is huge, so I got them in a 10.5 and they had so much wiggle room, but- they were wider than most shoes. When the video comes out I will address this more. Hope that helps you a bit

I just can't get the lebron 20 or 21 to fit my feet well. My foot is wider at the midfoot and these shoes cause massive cramping and numb pinkies, even half a size up. I went back to wearing my older lebrons like the 16, the shape of the shoe is completely different and a lot rounder compared to the new models.

I have always been a huge fan of the older Lebrons. They fit my foot perfectly and these really cause cramping for me. Lockdown is great, but I also roll my ankles in them… unlucky for us

Lebron 16s still feel amazing and be gotten for pretty cheap! I got a few pairs from 60-100 to rotate. The max air cushion feels more stable than the foam in the newer lebrons, it doesn't squish down as much. @@ttvWideShoes

not that high off the ground, but, I think I felt that they were high off the ground because they arent very stable. So I would say they are high off the ground in the same way the lebron witness 8 or 7s are
