His playoff numbers are actually ridiculous. His ability to perform when it matters most is what defines his goat status for a lot of people.

Nobody will _ever_ repeat MJ's 1988/89 season: He won the dunk contest, All Star game MVP, led all guards in blocks, led the league in steals, won DPOY, was named 1st team all defense, made all NBA first team, led the league in scoring, and won league MVP! The only notable individual award MJ failed to win that season was Finals MVP.

Appreciate ur honesty my guy. U didnt force Lebron down out throat. I can definitely be ok with a Lebron fan when they take a stand like this

I feel the same way... if LBJ is your goat because you grew up watching him, I can't argue anymore. his longevity and consistent greatness is absurd. he's bball tom brady. But MJ is my goat because I watched him (whenever I could, which was not a lot back in the 80's/90's). I think he is the best and most complete basketball player I've ever seen. I have bron at 1b, but honestly you cannot compare eras. I respect the old heads who say wilt or Russel or Oscar or bird or magic or whoever - I didn't see it so I can't say definitively say who was better. but mj was the most dominant player, the most feared player, the most accoladed and accomplished player of his era, and I think his peak was higher than LeBron's, even if it burned more briefly

mj gets the nod from me just cause he’s the greatest mid range shooter of all time. In this era his numbers would separate him from the pack and there wouldnt be much of a comparison…lebron shoots 37% outside of 3 feet. Picture a 50% mid range shooting lebron, and what would prob be a above average 3 pointer, and prime Russell Westbrook energy, and lebron level finishing at the rim

If MJ is no 2, only Wilt could be considered as no 1. IMO 1 MJ 2 WIlt 3... the others

LeBron has failed at every level (NBA & international). Which means he lost on stacked teams both in the NBA and in international play. Plus for more than half of his career, he chose his star teammates and picked his rosters. And he _still_ lost so many times. You can't put someone with so many failures on his resume over a player of Jordan's caliber.
