Right. Also people forget just how good messi and Ronaldo were at mbappe’s age. They took the sport by storm and never let go of the top two spots. Mbappe is great but he is also a product of great complete teams like psg and France. He’s never had all the pressure on his shoulders yet the way messi and Ronaldo did. I mean mbappe plays with Neymar and messi as teammates at psg along with all the other stacked top players there. Same with France, he has world class teammates around him. Ronaldo carried Man U and took all the pressure and criticisms and Portugal he always had to carry the entire country on his back. Same with Messi, even tho Barcelona was STACKEDDD, they wouldn’t have been one of the best teams in history without him and so much went through messi, xavi, and iniesta. And Argentina always had great teams and players but could never find the right chemistry on the big stages until this World Cup win. Messi has always carried Argentina and took all the blame. I remember a time when Argentineans didn’t really like messi comparing him to maradona and not being able to get the job done and win a World Cup. He changed that and is now a GOD and imo the best EVER. mbappe has a long way to go to be compared to messi or Ronaldo but he’s on the right track. He relies a lot on speed and explosiveness so I’m interested to see how consistent he is as he gets older cause other worldly skills is what kept Ronaldo and Messi on top even as they got up there in age. Curious to see if mbappe can do the same when he loses some of his young speed as he gets older.
