People don't remember this young LeBron. This was during the peak prime years of a 27 year old Kobe. A 21 year old LeBron in his 3rd NBA szn was legit argued as the best player in the league fighting Kobe for that spot... A peak Kobe... Kobe was avg 35/5/4 on a very mediocre team finishing 4th in MVP voting carrying his team to 45 wins and ended up losing in the 1st round of the playoffs in 7 to a 54 win Suns team. Outstanding szn. And he avg. 28/6/5 in the playoffs. Then you have LeBron who again is only in only his 3rd szn avg. 31/7/6 on a very mediocre team and finished 2nd in MVP voting (ahead of Kobe) and carrying his team to 50 wins. He ended up losing in the 2nd round of the playoffs in 7 to a 64 win Pistons team. In the playoffs (his very first playoffs btw) he avg. 31/8/6. So let that sink in. In LeBron's 3rd year as a 21 year old, he was neck and neck with a 27 year old prime Kobe in the regulars szn carrying his team which was just as bad as Kobe's to more regular szn wins and being ahead of Kobe in MVP voting. Kobe was 10 years into the league and having his best season yet some would argue that 03 season was his best but this season for scoring to me was Kobe’s best. LEBRON WAS in his 2nd to 3rd year here and already averaging 31. THERES levels to this so when you u haters try to say Kobe better than bron just know that the goat debate is mainly an argument over Jordan and bron for a reason
