He's been in the top 25-30 in individual defensive win shares each year in LA except for his first (2019). In 2020, the man was a force on both ends. This year he's been super solid too.

I don't understand the Prince hate. His 3 might not be falling like we hoped, but he's one of the few shooters we have that knows how to make a move off dribble, even when his shot isn't falling. Pretty smart decision maker on the drive, too. At some point, the LA coach should have seen that and started gameplanning for it. If you have guys who can contribute in other ways, stop gameplanning for the 3 all the time and start developing plays that maximize their other abilities.

I find the 21 years more impressive. I mean in combination I guess. It's a lot easier to play really well at 39 without 21 years of wear and tear is my point. There are examples of that in UFC fighting. Guys who started in their early 30's, and one of them ended up the oldest UFC champion ever at 45. Guy's who start in their early 20's are almost never even around at 40 anymore, never mind close to their prime. Those 21 years of wear and tear are huge, and Lebron is doing this at 39 with 21 years of wear and tear and playing that whole time, that's unbelievable.
