We don't have great big men to anchor the defense, so it seems like there is no defense. Posting up is a thing of the past. Big men posting up slows the game down and gives structure. Now, we have a bunch of perimeter players surrounding one tweener big inside who only catches lobs, rebounds and tries to defend any dunk or lay up attempts. The game is now just a helter skelter team three point contest now, and the three point contest is the least desired all star event, but we've let analytics nerds ruin the game.

Any normal business would have to change its operations and possibly, its staff if business isn't generating the desired results. Why do NBA players think they are special? If they don't perform their contract should be terminated and ghey should be unable to sign new contracts at the same value and earn contracts through performance not because they have a few triple-doubles here and there. Where are the championships? Triple-doubles only benefits the player! Give me a defensive player, scoring champions and MVP, Finals MVP and a championship. Then, we negotiate an increment in salary ghrough appraisal or review. Isn't that how it works in every other profession? These NBA players are not being held accountable and they are not expected to be successful. Ghey have money, but in reality, they aren't respected in the same way a doctor or surgeon is respected. Hence why no one really cares if they perform. It's like the NBA is just a big employer of some men who would otherwise be in gangs or on the streets.If this is the hidden motive behind the relevance of the NBA, there is a deeper issue beyond sport. Brook Lopez can get a high paid job. He is Ivy League. Where does Ja Morant go? The players should be more hungry.
