Both Players are great. I understands the bias regarding generation. But old heads seen both players play. Young guns only seen lebron play. Highlights dont do justice because it doesnt show perserverance when the game is in the line. Lebron is great but he had a weakness. Which is the freethrow in crucial games.Jordan dont have that weekness. Yes Lebron has more points. But he also played more games. Thats like saying you have 60 points and i have 45points. But you played two games i played 1 game.

I would like to clarify things that you are incorrect about: Jordan is faster. Jordan has a higher recorded vertical leap. Jordan plays better defense. Jordan jas a better mid-range game. Jordan has better low post moves. Jordan has a much better and more complete layup package. Jordan is a better free throw shooter. Jordan won with the team he had and didn't have to leave every few years to go to the most stacked roster --- and STILL won more championships. Look... Nobody is going to hold it against you that lebron James is your favorite player. It's totally understandable. You grew up watching him. And, he is a great player. But, he can't do half of the things that you saw Jordan do in these video clips.

I was about to make a post and then i read this. You could not have said it better. No matter what these Lebron fans think he will never be on Jordans level. They argue that he has more points and all these other stats but they fail to realize that it took him several more years to catch Jordans stats than it did for Jordan to make them. Lebron is better at longevity and thats about it. I do believe that Lebron is one of the greatest players of all time but he will never be the GOAT. The only thing he is GOAT of at this point in his career is flopping and taking plays off.

I was going to say the same thing. Jordan was faster. He played 3 years of college (winning a ncaa title). Took 1.5 years off to play baseball and 3 years off before he joined the wizards and still dominated on a bad team (almost brought them to the playoffs even with the injuries). If he would have joined out of college and took 4.5 years off he could have padded his stats more like Lebron. Lebron also isn't nearly as clutch. Jordan was hitting game winners constantly in the biggest games even.. There's not much a comparison if you do any research or like myself watching both of there careers. Lebron is special, health is 2nd to none that I can think of. He's obviously very talented but just not THE best. Maybe top 5 in my opinion.

@@soramirez5473 he’s only a “better” passer because of LeBron’s role on his teams. He’s always been the point guard. When MJ was a point guard during the 89 season he averaged 32ppg 11asts 10reb. He had a stretch of 7 straight triple doubles (something LeBron has never done in his whole career playing pg.) 10 of those 11 games were triple doubles. He also out assisted magic johnson in the 91 finals. Averaging 12asts while dropping 30+ points each game. 53% fg too. There’s nothing LeBron does better. His stats are just inflated due to his role. Remember, MJ plays to win. LeBron clearly plays for stats.

I'm old enough to have seen some of the greats before MJ, watching Magic and Bird go at it for a decade, seeing Kareem in his prime, Dr. J being a showrunner for the ABA before moving to the NBA. I witnessed greatness, and then Jordan comes along. I truly don't believe that all the words that his supporters say, all of his highlight videos, can describe just how incredible it was to observe him to anyone who didn't see him playing live. Best way for me to do it, it's like watching the player who totally dominates your favorite team. playing for your team and doing it his entire career, against everyone.

@CasperCoolBreeze
@CasperCoolBreeze 2 жыл бұрын
3 things I want you to keep in mind. 1. Jordan got touched up every single game, he did this in an era that physicality was at its peak. Jordan was straight up abused by some teams (Pistons specifically), fouls that in this modern era would be considered flagrant. 2. Jordan was 10x scoring title holder, 9x all-defensive team, and achieved all of this in 13 seasons with the Bulls. He also achieved his first 3peat when his father was murdered during the playoffs. The mental toughness to do such a thing is beyond most of our comprehension. 3. Jordan was not an asshole, he was THE ASSHOLE. He pushed his teammates to practice so hard the games became easy. He also elevated his game year after year. He made every teammate better than they were by themselves, and pushed himself to be better season after season, 3peat to 3peat. He also took Pippen under his wings and developed him for 3 seasons before they won their first championship together. They both went on to achieve 6, and in Jordan's HoF induction speech, he made sure everyone knew just how important Pippen was to his greatness. Things to consider in your evaluation of the man.

🙏 You go on and PREACH I'm with you! I watched him play, destroy my heros, Brid and Magic and I loved MJ all the way. I was there for ALL the "Dream Team" games in Barcelona in 92 and it's still the most overwhelming SINGLE event in my sports history! Up there with Schumacher and Hamilton, Messi and Pele all the greats. NOT every generation gets to have that and this whole Lebron debate is only alive because the youth of today were raised in an environment where they were told they were "special" and you're just as great or valuable than anyone else! BS some are and MOST are not, that's LIFE and if you wish to survive life then learn that fast and depend on YOU and not any handouts because even today, they won't be coming. We EARN what we work for and MJ BUSTED HIS ASS for EVERY point! NOT something Lebron has EVER been accused of, BUT he leads MJ in assists! WHY? because he doesn't trust in his ability to win, he needs other's to pick up the slack so he is leading in the ASSIST category. Call MJ a "Ball Hog" call him selfish, but WHO won 3 times, over and over and over and then did it again, over and over and over? MJ

This might sound biased… there is no such thing as “Mj fans.” Realizing Michael Jeffrey Jordan as the greatest of all time, is simply the TRUTH. I was born in 96 so I grew up thinking Kobe was the goat. As soon as I saw Michael, it was like watching Kobe on god mode. He accomplished all of his accolades in only 11 full seasons with the bulls. LeBron is in year 20 still trying to catch him. Also if you look at LeBron’s game, you quickly realize he has a very shallow bag. He has NO MOVES. Awkward footwork which doesn’t allow him to add counters. When he does decide to shoot outside of 3ft, he shoots 36%. In clutch situations, it goes down to 20%. He doesn’t pass at the end of games because he is a “good teammate”. Teams simply let him shoot & their odds of winning increase. That is a big reason why he’s 4-6 in the finals. (Jason terry cooked him in 2011 too.he couldn’t guard a role player😂)He has subpar shot creation. Michael’s game is poetry in motion. Had every move & counter move possible. He shot 50% on midrange jump shots in his bulls days. He combined great stats & numbers/accomplishments along with a beautiful graceful style of play. Making him untouchable. Forever. 💯

Most people they refer to as "MJ fans" are really just basketball fans who can clearly see that Jordan was better than Lebron. My favorite player as a kid was Isiah Thomas, because I was a short point guard. We were inspired and amazed by MJ, but these young fans actually "love" Lebron. That's the word the use and they say it all the time.

For example I love Kobe, he’s my favorite player. But I have no problem admitting that MJ is the goat. I understand LeBron has a lot of fans that love him but for some reason, 90% are delusional and claim he’s the goat. Only 1 out of 10 will admit, “I’m a LeBron fan BUT, Jordan is the goat.” Very rare that you see such honesty lol Most get in their feelings when the facts hit them in the face.

Very true. My favorite player all-time is Magic. Started watching the sport in 1979 because of him. But after what I saw MJ do his rookie year and then what he did to that vaunted 1986 Celtics squad his second year I knew he had potential to be the GOAT. It wasn't hyperbole when Larry Legend said "that was God disguised as Jordan." Whenever another top 10 all-time player grants that type of reverence to Bron we can put him in the GOAT convo.

LeBrons career numbers are higher because he has played so many more games but per games stats tell a different story. The one that tells me What I need to know is that Jordan had more blocks per game than lebron. That's right as big as lebron is he does not have as many blocks as a shooting guard per game. Everyone wants to be buddy buddy. So they’re a lot more stress free. LeBron James does his dirt behind the scenes, as far as smiling in teammates faces, and getting them traded behind their backs.

It would be interesting to see how a nice guy like LeBron would do in an era when you would get thrown to the ground when going through the lane. The flagrant foul rule was introduced because of the way teams like the Pistons Bad Boys dealed with players like Jordan. Besides that at that time you were laughed out of the arena for flopping. And there was no such thing as load management. You were expected to play hard on both sides of the court all game, all year and Jordan was the best at that. In 89 he was both the leading scorer and defense player of the year.

Michael Jordan dominated his era! No one won a championship against Mike, no one, you can't say that about Lebron. Michael led the league in scoring for 10 of his first 13 years. Michael made 9 first Team Defensive selections. The man has 3 steals titles and is rank 3rd on the all time steals list 22 years later. The man averaged 31 points per year over a 15 year career. Defensive Player of the Year, 6 times finals MVP(Only man to do that) 5 time league MVP. Michael had the greatest year of any professional basket ball player in 1988 when he won the league MVP; All Star MVP; Steal Title, Scoring Title, Defensive Player of the Year Award; and The Slam Dunk Championship while averaging 35points a game! Lebron will never do that, Lebron can't do that. Michael Jordan is the only man in the history of the NBA to have a 50 point game at the age of 40! you talking about Lebron at 38, Michael dropped 96 points in 2 days and had back to back 40 point games at the age of 40! Michael didn't quit on his team, when losing Michael doesn't go to the end of the bench to separate himself from the team. In the press conference Michael doesn't come in after a loss and tell the media "Well, I did all I could do" Michael didn't go look for a Super Team and then take the credit for the wins! No one beat the Bulls because they were the team to beat. They were the greatest team of their era! 72-10 with a title beats 73-9 without one! You can lift up Lebron all you want, you see this video and you see that Lebron don't come close Michael Jeffrey Jordan. Lebron is good, he's great but there are levels to this game, and the level Jordan is on, well let's just say Lebron's not even in the same building!

Sometimes it was hard knowing if this was a LJ reaction or MJ with the way you were plugging LJ durning a MJ video, lol. Might be hard to be objective if you can t stick to only the player you’re reacting to. I've been an NBA fan since the mid 1970's and coached youth basketball for years. 2 of my 3 sons played competitive basketball through high school here in North Carolina. My middle son even attended camps with Stephon Curry that his dad, Dell Curry, sponsored here in the Charlotte area. My personal top 3 are: 1. Michael Jordan, 2. Larry Bird, 3. Magic Johnson. After the top 3, it’s more debatable to me. I’ve seen everyone over the last 45+ years. IMO, these players had the best BALANCE of FG%, FT%, clutch play, great offense, great defense, makes teammates better, great team play, shares the ball, passing ability, finishing, coachable, high basketball IQ, finds a way to win, has all areas of the basic fundamentals down pat, seeks high % shots FIRST, knows where teammates are on the court at all times, able to score while being fouled, played against tougher competition, played against great defenses. No one today has ALL of these attributes. These 3 are the only players ever to not have any holes in their games at all. Not even Lebron can match this. Larry #1 in basketball IQ, then Jordan. Winning in the clutch, Bird and Jordan are a tie. Best top to bottom defender, Sydney Moncref. Lebron flops, gives up on defense (a huge negative), and has choked in too many key games. He couldn’t even get the Lakers to the playoffs in 2022, One of the weakest NBA seasons ever. All of these negatives are glaring and brings down his value. To me, only Michael, Larry, and Magic had ALL of these attributes and are (by far) the most clutch and best players of all time. Consistently winning the close games is what separates icon players from everyone else. No players after my top 3 come close to doing it at the level they did. Though today's players have a lot of talent, most players lack most of these attributes and no one has all of them. Defense and team play are almost nonexistent today compared to the 80’s/90’s. Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson (by far) are the most clutch players of all time, did it against the best defenses of all time, and did it during the most talent rich era of all time (80’s/90’s). Jordan had 2 threepeats and 6 championships in 8 years, again, during the Golden Era. There were incredible athletes as well then too. Dr. J, Isaha Thomas, Dominique Wilkins, and Sydney Moncteif to name a few. Because of the addiction to three pointer, lack of teamwork, and lack of defense the game of basketball is not nearly as exciting and interesting. It seems that many young people who do not understand the fundamental attributes of the game and haven’t seen players pre -2000 play night in and night out are the ones who claim that Lebron is the best. Older people who have seen decades of the best players and can see Lebrons weaknesses. Michael isn’t the GOAT simply because we have watched his entire career (he and I are about the same age). That’s too simplistic. He’s the GOAT for the above stated reasons. Anyway, overall, Great video. You did an excellent job. Below are some more great videos that exhibit Michael’s wide range of talent. Would love to see you react to them. I disagreed with you in a few places and you talked so much in some places that you missed very key plays in the video, but, still, you did a great job. You have good insight into the game. If MJ seems like an A-hole then imagine what kind of A-holes the bad boy pistons were to him. Lebron is nice because he reflects the nature of the NBA today. Also there is no argument that Lebron is better than everything but rings. What about defensive awards? What about scoring championships? MJ has the most airtight case as the greatest scorer of all time with 10 scoring titles and actually has a solid case for greatest if not one of the greatest defenders of all time with 9 all nba first team selections, 3 time steals leader and defensive player of the year. Greatest scorer and arguably greatest defender. Accolades reflect who's the best.

I could go a 1,000 different ways. But I’ll hit you like this Young G. The best player on the team can’t be the laziest player. At anytime! That’s not greatness. You also spoke about IQ. I don’t know who had the most. Michael, Larry, Magic, LeBron. But the IQ isn’t just about basketball. It’s about people. He was confident enough in who he was and what he was doing that he was willing to wait 20 years for people to say that was good for me. He was pushing me. Not condescending me, but building me. Strengthening me. Pushing me to be the best for all of us. That’s greatness.
@katrinachavez3533
@katrinachavez3533 2 жыл бұрын
Very true about pushing and strengthening. Steve Kerr once said "You were scared to death of him. He was the most dominant force on the floor in every regard. It wasn't just the talent - it was the force of will. People, opponents were defeated by Michael before they even walked on the floor. It was unbelievable to be on his team, to be his teammate. And you had to accept that responsibility. You knew he was going to be harsh on you. You knew he was going to be tough on you, was going to talk trash to everybody in practice, test you. And his reasoning was: If you couldn't handle the trash talk in practice, there's no way you could handle the pressure of the NBA playoffs. It made perfect sense. He was right. He helped to mentally reconfigure me. He made me way better. Not only from the standpoint of the traditional great player drawing attention, and OK, they're going to double-team him, I'm going to be open. That's the easy explanation. But it's more than that. It's don't be scared. It's like, you've got to compete. That's probably the biggest thing I learned from him, watching him, was he was just so fearless. He never shied away from the stigma that would come through failure. He understood fully that if he just went all out every single game and went for it on every single play, the positives would outweigh the negatives, but you just to have to live with the failure." Bron has never had this affect on a teammate. Total opposite. I remember Mario Chalmers once called him a bitch cause Bron was ballin' too passively and not bringing heat in a flash ala Wade.

I turn 50 in a couple months, so I grew up watching Magic and Bird, Kareem with the Lakers, Jordan, Kobe and Lebron. I am not a superfan of any of them. I am a huge basketball fan. I've played collegiately and coached high school. I think I know hoops. Lebron is a freak. His size and power the most impressive thing I've seen on the court. His cumulative stats are amazing. He played a long time in the NBA. Still great today. You say you get mad at him for taking plays off. I've seen some of his highlights of him just laying down while he is on the court, completely giving zero effort on defense. I can't give someone like that the best player status. Jordan never took a play off. Never took a "rest" day. Never gave it less than 100% because a fan paid for a ticket to see him that day. When he couldn't do that, he retired. When he was ready to give it all again, he came back. He is better than Lebron at every defensive category, even track down blocks. He is a better scorer, better layup package, better mid-range, better post play, better free throw shooter, better competitor, better acrobatic dunker, more intense, and rules have changed to make offense stats balloon. Jordan would kill today's game with the rules as they are. As Rodman says, he would average 50. He wanted to go against and beat the best. Lebron wants to play with the best. Jordan's super team with Rodman and Harper was the only team they went out and got, but it wasn't the same as Lebron going to Miami with Bosh and Allen. Most of that team was drafted and those guys were role players, not perennial all-stars. Jordan is the best player ever. He may not have played as many years or accumulated as many stats, but, after seeing all those guys play, I can't say Lebron is better than Jordan. It's tough to decide watching highlights. Watch the lowlights and then tell me who was better.

Great video young man. Love the fact you’re not saying what people want to here. That’s what made me sub. God Bless. That being said, Jordan is the Goat and it’s not close. Not only was Michael Jordan the Greatest basketball player ever, he was the greatest team sport athlete ever. On top of everything else, he has the league record of a 48” vertical and he ran a 4.3 forty. The only guy I ever heard Shaq say he “was terrified” of. The only guy Charles B said of “I realized there was a better basketball player in the world than me”. On top of the accolades below he was an Alfa brother. LeBron, Durant none of these guys commanded the respect he did. None of these guys did whatever was necessary to make everyone around him better by pushing and pushing at practices until his team until he got on their nerves but he never asked anything he wouldn’t do and he was the hardest working player probably ever. No way else to acquire the almost infinite ways to score he possessed and when you work like that and your already athletically superior, you’re right the game slows down to a snail pace in front of you. Confidence! He always wanted the last shot and was the clutchest player ever with Kobe a distant second. He never let up like LeBron does. He has so many more of the intangibles LeBron doesn’t have. IQ thru the roof without analytics. Anyway: 6× NBA champion (1991-1993, 1996-1998) 6× NBA Finals MVP (1991-1993, 1996-1998) 5× NBA Most Valuable Player (1988, 1991, 1992, 1996, 1998) 14× NBA All-Star (1985-1993, 1996-1998, 2002, 2003) 3× NBA All-Star Game MVP (1988, 1996, 1998) 10× All-NBA First Team (1987-1993, 1996-1998) All-NBA Second Team (1985) NBA Defensive Player of the Year (1988) 9× NBA All-Defensive First Team (1988-1993, 1996-1998) NBA Rookie of the Year (1985) NBA All-Rookie First Team (1985) 10× NBA scoring champion (1987-1993, 1996-1998) 3× NBA steals leader (1988, 1990, 1993) 2× NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion (1987, 1988) Choke on that LeBron

Exactly. Larry Bird is my FAVORITE player of all time. MJ is the BEST player of all time. Lebron is probably top 10 or so players, maybe even top 5.

Left one out... poetry in motion it was a beautiful thing to watch.Mikes best player from 84-86 brad sellers.He still got in the playoffs with Dave corzine as center and the other three where basically bench players except oak tree.So for the ones that said he had a team around him don't know basketball.it took for a good draft and a few trades to get to a level they want to be.horace grant and pippen came in 87.they played together for 3 years to finally win a chip.But it started off rough.He came in and just wanted to win He didn't care about nothing else

Not only has MJ more rings..he always played a crucial part during the finals. 6 times Final MVP says it all. If you look at his statistics regarding points per game you will find that he averaged even more points per game in play-off game versus regular season games and furthermore in the Finals games compared to all others. He had a killer instinct and above all, the ability to amp up his game at a moments notice. MJ was special because he needed challenges and obstacles to overcome in order to thrive. Much like art and creativity themselves need those things in order to flourish. MJ certainly was one of the most competitive athletes of all time and an artist for that matter. His game once was described as Ballet while in the air and Phil Jackson former coach of the Chicago Bulls called him the "Michelangelo" of Basketball. Nevertheless all that came from his working mentality. He never missed practice once despite his superstar status. He was more like the first to be there and the last one to leave. If you look at not just his NBA career but his life in general, you will realize it appears like being written by a Hollywood writer. Playing Basketball as a kid, he got beaten by his older brother everytime, which initiated his desire to work hard and win in the first place. No Jordan family member ever surpassed the height of 6.1. He tried out for the basketball varsity team during his sophomore year; at 5 feet 11 inches (1.80 m), he was deemed too short to play at that level. The following summer, he grew four inches (10 cm) and eventually reached 6.6. In College he made the game-winning jump shot in the 1982 NCAA Championship game against Georgetown, which was led by future NBA rival Patrick Ewing. When he entered the NBA he quickly became integral in popularizing the NBA around the world becoming a global cultural icon in the process. One of the most effectively marketed athletes of his generation, Jordan is known for his product endorsements. He fueled the success of Nike's Air Jordan sneakers, which were introduced in 1984 and remain popular today. After winning three straight Championships he retired from Basketball in 1993, after his Father was murdered while being robbed. He decided to play Baseball, did not really succeed, only to come back in 1995, and being defeated during the Play-Offs by the young team of the Orlando Magic which were led by Shaquuille O`Neal. At this point many people believed he was not the same he used to be. MJ again proved them wrong by winning three consecutive NBA titles again with the Bulls. In the 1996 Finals, Championship winning game six was on Father's Day ironically. During the 1997 Finals MJ played game five with a flu while being almost completely dehydrated so Scottie Pippen had to carry him of court after the game. In both decisive final games in 1993 and 1997, MJ did not hit the Championship winning shot but gave the Assist (John Paxton 1993 and Steve Kerr 1997). And in game six during the 1998 finals he carried the Bulls through the game without Scottie Pippen who had injured his back defending Karl Malone. In the final minute he stole the ball from Malone and then made the game/Championship winning shot against Russell. If you have read this far you have certainly noticed that I did not mention any statistics besides six Championships, because that's what actually counts regarding statistics. During the first six years of his NBA career, MJ was considered the best solo player of the league, but he became a legend only after he and the Bulls started winning Championships.

Bro, with all due respect you cannot judge MJ and LBJ because you already stated your bias for LBJ. Just say you're a Lebron fan and you can't make a honest and accurate assessment of none the greats. We can respect the content much better my guy. The reaction will be more authentic, but enjoyed the reaction anyway.

The speed of the game back then makes today's NBA look like a totally different sport! EVERYONE is in motion, playing defense, setting picks on offense. No guys standing and spreading out to corners, clearing out the lane for ISO-ball. It's just a different game. It looks like the video is sped up but it's not. Ha! EVERYTHING MJ does just looks unreal and impossible. Yet he makes it look easy and beautiful. (edit) He sees an incredible dunk by MJ and immediately mentions that LBJ can do it better? I've NEVER seen him do anything better than MJ and I'm from Cleveland. The fact that he keeps saying that LBJ is better than MJ while the video continues to show these "god-like" plays is hilarious. Also, we aren't biased about MJ it's just that we have eyes.

It seems like every two seconds you have to keep CONVINCING yourself that Lebron is better. I respect your appreciation for Lebron as he is the highlight of your generation, but those of us who are old enough to remember the magic that Black Jesus brought to the game…there is no comparison. People who never watched basketball before became instant fans because of Jordan. He changed the entire franchise in so many ways you couldn’t even begin to image.

Lebron shoots 37% outside 3 feet and average almost 30pts cause his most taken shot every year is 1-3 feet. MJ shot 50% from the midrange and would have a field day finishing in the todays league with the new rules, 3pters and spacing. MJ was the best midrange shooter of all time man. Imagine what the most athletically gifted, 50% shooting Mj would do in todays league with how easy is to finish at the bascket. Just look at how many bodies there are in the paint, big men, not like in todays league. They literally changed the multiple rules to make scoring easier. Alsot when jordan pg, 9 out of his first 11 games were triple doubles. 30pt 50% shooting triple doubles...So he could pass too, just didn't play pg

Jordan at around that age was called the best athlete that ever played basketball by Bob Knight. Won his 1st Olympics gold medal on 1984, prior to going to the olympics, their team won all games against all star NBA players. 1982 - he won his NCAA And being an asshole doesn't diminish ones greatness. Also, scoring more during this soft era of NBA, that exactly is the point, because harder defense = harder to score

Dude, it's not even close. There are no eye tests, no set of metrics that put LeBron ahead of Jordan. These clips are only a sample of his highlights. There are so many more. He was the best offensive player during the two toughest defensive decades while being the best defensive player. He dominated men far larger and stronger than Lebron and LeBron is not faster and stronger than Jordan was. I don't know how that myth started.

There's no comparison. To people who've watched both play, it's the funniest thing ever. 2 different players in 2 different era's with different rules. One of the main differences is the one that counts the most. Jordan had no weaknesses. At all. He was the best scorer. You just couldn't defend him. He was also the best defensive player at his position ever. The only player to win MVP, scoring title, and defensive player of the year. And the Big Chip. All in the same year. Boy, please. Go home
