Remarks At any iteration of the simplex algorithm one of the following cases may arise: 1. If at least one artificial variable is a basic variable (i.e., variable that is present in the basis) with zero value and the coefficient it M in each cj - zj ( j = 1, 2, . . ., n) values is non-negative, then the given LP problem has no solution. That is, the current basic feasible solution is degenerate. book-operations research by JK sharma .page number-120.corrected your second cases of the optimum solution i.e is not exist but you it exist.

Maam, you forgot to put S1 column in the 1st iteration table... Will you check that please!

After first initial table s1 is leaving the column and x2 is enter the basis so you can leave the column of s1. No need to write the values of s1..
