Oh my! This is the exact same thing as algebraic long division, but explained incoherently without using the standard notation. He explains this in the summary section more clearly.

My god! if this is how these teachers will teach, then good luck to the students, to even pass the exams with minimum marks. There is so much generalization and skipping necessary steps to teach a basic concept. Do these guys even realize they opened this course to all the non-science students as well? How are they ever gonna learn these concepts without proper explanations?
