Sir, how is a datapoint classified using logistic regression when its output value comes out to be EXACTLY 0.5 (specifically when x = -a0/a1) ?

To minimize the mis-classification rate, we should predict Y = 1 when p ≥ 0.5 and Y = 0 when p < 0.5. This means guessing 1 whenever β0 + x ·β is non-negative, and 0 otherwise. So logistic regression gives us a linear classifier. -Answer from google..
