When your sneak peak video for the hidden paper clips came up, I was dying when you admitted your epic failure before you found something that worked so well! My craft room has several monuments honoring one disaster after another. Sometimes it's hard locating them when they get glued to the back of your sleeve (or somewhere else, lol) and your husband asks you to come over to him and peals it off! I was thinking that it would be a hilarious challenge to use three of your worst projects and create one amazing thing! I love these paper clips, they are perfect! And as always, it's great seeing you! 😊

These are my favorite covered paper clips by far. I love the bigger top layer and the slit is great to add lace, string of beads, or anything! Can't wait to make some of these.

Some have been more complicated than i want, and others were not quite what i'd wanted. i love everyones beautiful work, yet i find myself enthralled with the simplicity of your method. i just got out of hospital after breaking my arm for the 2nd time in a year! turns out i have pretty severe osteoporosis, because of that, i look for simple projects that i may be able to make for my journals. For the last one you could glue the photos on a coffee dyed page so that when you clip it on a coffee-dyed page, the backing would disappear. Or add some lace on the very top of the paperclip so it hides the backing. Best process video on hidden paper clips yet! Love it!!

Another winner! This one is definitely going in my MAKE folder. Lots of ideas for what to attach to the top: charms, dangles, ribbons, fabric strips, lace, fancy trims, chain/old pieces of jewelry that have been modified, beads… and that’s just the tops! I have so many strips of paper that can be used! 😅Once again, Ms. Patricia, we are on the same wavelength. Brick paperclips, no matter how cute, are annoying 😅. Following your thought process, I started experimenting with vellum, acetate with grunge alcohol ink, & even inked up packing tape. For some reason, I am obsessed with the transparent/translucent. Even used a magnet on one side and a small piece of flattened acco fastener (metal office supply thing) instead of a paperclip, all in the pursuit of a thin non-brick, easy use, interesting paperclip. So far, I am super pleased with the results. As I am also obsessed with magnets, running the acco fastener through my die cut machine makes them paper thin, easy to cut down with tin snips, can be painted or alcohol inked as a design element, & are the perfect surface area to accept magnets attached to elements. Yes, I have commitment issues, so the easy option to move things around is perfect for me, & it's fun to play 😅 Thank you for being a tremendous inspiration 💐🖇️

Just an FYI-the ruler you are using has cork on one side to prevent it from slipping while you are using the exacto knife. It’s not a big deal, but if you use it cork side down, it might keep you safer to use it the correct way.😄I love this video!

Hello Patricia! So happy to find your video on hidden paperclips! Thank you for searching through so many other techniques and posting yours! I love these! I'm a huge Tim Holtz fan and love his style! I just ordered the Beacon 3 in 1 glue so I can make some of these! I've made other hidden paperclips but I'm not very happy with how they turned out....big and awkward. I think the type of glue is one of my factors also. Thank you so much! I was born in Newpot News Virginia and used to spend summers at 4H camp in Virginia Beach! Still have family all in that area. I now live in North Florida. Again, I am happily subscribed as of today and will be watching old and new videos you post! Merry Christmas new friend!
