I'm feeling this song. I've battled depression and currently coming out of an episode. For those who battle depression, rely on GOD. HE is love. The presence of darkness is not the absence of light. The Light is in you and is greater.

You know that feeling when you first hear a song and EVERY fiber of your being body, mind and spirit just resonates with it flawlessly. You almost feel like youre in a secluded space in that moment. Almost as if your self evaluating yourself, including your past, present, relationships and even your future. It's almost a divine moment when this feeling is applied to Christ centered music.

Hello Lecrae. My son was killed on 4/28/24. It was a robbery. He was only 23. He was diagnosed with high function autism at the age of 8, and then at the 19 he was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. He struggled with rejection and bullying because he was different, and it didn't help not having a father at home for him. I was a single mother most of his life. I'm a Christian, and I made sure I took all my children to church because I wanted them to know Jesus. He questioned his faith when he was 20. But I never gave up and prayed him back to Jesus. He started attending church and having faith in Jesus again a year before he was murdered. I'm saying all this just to tell you that your song Can't Stop Me Now was one of the songs that he listened a lot. That song gave him the courage to keep moving forward and not to give up. He was going to school to get a degree in therapy. He wanted to be the voice for autistic children. I have a 10 y/o niece who's on the low spectrum, and my son wanted to help children like her. But he can't anymore. I'm in so much pain because this was a stupid death. But I have to remind myself that my son in heaven with my Lord and Savior Jesus. Now every time I hear this song, it reminds me of my beautiful son. So I just want to thank you for having the courage to write songs like this. Thank you for being there for my son. God bless you.

This is such a breath of fresh air. My heart goes out to Lecrae. He gets so much hate for his music now. Even this song is probably gonna get a thousand tons of hate. "It doesn't mention Jesus enough!" So, even as a Christian, and a believer in Christ you've never used a hobby or outlet to vent? To get rid of your excess frustrations? Your doubt? Please people. This song is literally his heart and mind on the chopping block and you're gonna take a butcher knife to them? He hasn't forsaken Christ, or His purpose, and never denies Jesus or his faith. And he still goes out into the secular world, into a world where he isn't accepted (none of us are) and is a light in the darkness, spreading tje gospel and giving his testimony the best way he knows how. Music.

Bro fr, hes just tryna live for Christ but because he didn't mention Jesus enough, hes not Christian, according to them and that led to a long painful depression. Christian's who are suppose to be the most loving people, representation of Christ, led to a mans brokenness and led him to almost turn away from Christ. People say "lecrae is no longer Christian", yeah I wonder why

Man, Lecrae is doing what Christians should and some are doing. Professing the gospel, surrounded by the enemy, but holding onto Jesus Christ. I respect him and what God is doing in his life. The reason why people don't understand is because he is doing it right, and doing it only for an audience of One.
@stefan-rarescrisan51167 жыл бұрын
Caramelyz, he is doing it like our Lord Jesus Christ did it way before. Sure he's not perfect and often takes the wrong decisions, but God continues to work in him. After all, we know the saying:" All things work together... "

I don't usually comment but I must comment on this song. Lecrae, I really appreciate you creating this song. For quite some time I was in a dark and doubtful season. And because of it, I began to read the Word less and less. I used think that you along with other high profile Christian speakers, artist, and preachers had it all together- that you all consistently read the Word and was always obedient to Christ. Because of that mindset I believed the lie that high profile Christian speakers, artist, etc. couldn't relate to what I was going through. But through this song, God showed me that no one is perfect, even Lecrae has struggles and setbacks. This song reminds me that only Jesus was and still is perfect. Your song has been an encouragement for me to keep moving and don't remain stuck in this season. Thank you so much for your transparency!

This song may be highly underrated because all people want are trap beats and sick flows. Lecrae has it and it's coming. But he's got things on his mental right now that have meaning and purpose and I honestly love how he switched it up on this one and spoke directly from his heart, just showing everyone that he, too is human. Lecrae, you are truly a talented artist.

Looking at Lecrae as a secular artist and not as a Christian genre artist I love his music because it's inspirational. This song is great beats and melodies as well as relatable lyric content. Trip Lee and Lecrae are the artist that made me fall in love with hip, because it was hip hop I could enjoy without filling my head with madness. I hope Lecrae won't blend in with every other artist but through Christ stand out.

I can relate to this song. I have had depression for about 10 years. Very hard and this year is the hardest. Had to deal with my grandmas death, a family friends mother is on her deathbed with cancer and only had a few days to live. Very hard each day living with depression. It's hard to say goodbye to depression. Ain't that easy. I've tried to keep faith and give it away to God.

Crae it's really great that you are showing that being a Christian and being saved doesn't mean that you won't get challenged by the temptations of this world. And everyone makes it seem like celebrities live perfect lives and never have troubles. That's cause that's what they want us to think they don't tell about they problems cause they wanna look perfect. You ain't about that cause you ain't in it for the money u in it to tell about Christ. I love how u keep it real and I want you to continue that man cause to helps me to get through my own struggles to see you being able to broadcast your own. Yeah been doubting God lately but looking back at everything, I've seen all my blessings but like Crae' I've been getting real depressed, not heavily but like really pessimistic. I've been doubting him but doubt is an enemy you know, it attacks you at all sides but in order to fight it, you gotta fight and pray and remember that you gotta send it away. This song is like a reminder of that, thank Lecrae but most importantly God, it's like a daily bread. If you've been doubting God, don't be, just remember this song and talk with other people who've gotten through the same, it really helps. Isolating yourself in self thought makes it worse talk with others and God, it really helps.

i was wondering what non christian label Crae was gonna sound like. this is raw and im glad my brother stuck with christ. yet i feel like he has more room to breathe and speak on things that legitimately are on his mind. its easy to get caught up in ministry which sometimes leaves some of us feeling like its a chore and we get stuck in religion. this brother said in the interview that pastors and even people from his label i think,lacked empathy and compassion. "rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep" no doubt that Jesus is the greatest name and theres power in it, and its so easy to throw scripture out there, but man do i think we forget the relationship aspect of things.

I had family/friends steal from me too, I relate all to well to this song. Lord have mercy on those who have done me wrong, I cannot hold onto the past, forgive and let go.
