Before any hater even thinks of commenting anything negative about Lecrae. Read his book before you comment a word and understand this...his goal is to make disciples right now..not feed them. That’s why his music style has changed. Not because he loves Jesus less but because God has called him to a different approach to bring Him Glory and increase his kingdom. It was difficult for Lecrae’s old music to bring people into the church but did a good job of feeding the people who were in it. He’s leaving the 99 sheep to seek after that lost 1. Stop the hate and love your neighbor as yourself!!!

Theodous Scott Well Jesus would preach in parables at times so that the real believers would desire to know what he meant. Just think of Lecrae rapping parables. The real ones will understand what he’s singing about like when he says he’s got a “real plug” we know he’s saying that he’s a light and that God is his source of power. “Let those who have ears hear”
@marcusjones18896 жыл бұрын
His style changed because rap went to mumbling and saying yea..after everything! The rap game says every single rapper, every single one has to have mumble sound or yeah..in the song to be hot! It's not. That's where rap is now. Bizzle did the same thing. Bizzle pulled it of decently though, but I would rather hear individuals own flow over hot beat than everyone sounding the same..

Thotbusta I’m confused 😂 even if that was the case, he will stand out because he can make fire music without bashing and other stuff, talking bout drugs and etc. and all that unnecessary stuff. Not to say I don’t listen to other music like that, but I can’t take that in time after time, really screws with my vibe foreels, never feels right either tbh.

It's not that he's not Christian enough it's that he chose to represent God and then chose money and fame over what he was about. He turned his back on God. God put him in that position so that he could be a positive influence but now he's just like the others, consumed and fame and fortune. It's not that he's not Christian enough it's that he turned his back on who he said he was

Malik Jones Yep your right. I didn't get the opportunity to know Christ growing up. I lived a life of doubt and evil. I will be the first to tell you that this music brought me so close to God, because I didn't relate to the gospel worship songs. But obviously that was something I was dealing with personally. Music is music, my wife always laughs because I can break down any rap song lyrically and I always get the message. Its incredible how any Christian could ever knock any style of music for the kingdom.
