I can't believe he went there! I was in the gym, and my jaw was on the floor. He managed to reconcile my Christian upbringing, and the spiritual comfort I once felt, with my radical politics now as a black woman college graduate, and my concerns about the religion of colonization, segregation, and Trumpian politics...

Ive noticed people hatin' for no reason.. WHHYYY?? seriously. Lecrae is a great, talented dude, praising God through his tracks. C'mon world, why cant you people accept change in the world? I am not talking about gay relationships being normal, because its not, Im just saying that the world keeps changing and the way young peeps praise God is now different. Captain Rex the Church historically has always been vocal on issues of the times, Judy the same believers should be vocal on current events and what the truth of the Gospel shares concerning these things, what Lecraes doing! Idk man, I feel like as a Body we have to be able to cover him as he's ministering to a new audience, maybe u may not relate to the new content he's sharing, but I can say that as someone who lives in the circumstances he refers to that I def relate mostly only to his newer stuff from Rehab on. His music is really helping me process a lot of what's happening around me, especially concerning the social issues he discusses. We need to cover the brother,regardless of what audience he moves from to continue to be a minister of truth which I firmly believe he is doing. I'm sorry that u can't connect with his new stuff anymore, but I encourage u not to think less of him bcuz he's ministering to that alike my people who grew up in the same struggles
