April A At some point we have to choose, ego ultimately only leads to incarceration, and I'd much rather have a pastor over me then a warden over me. So I started actually researching "the death of ego", and began to realize 90 percent of worldly rap is bent on egos and self entitlement...so I resigned my ego, joined the church, and chose to be grateful over imposing my self entitlement. And for myself, I still keep my world view weary of institutions (including religions), but I now choose to not make waves, or not bite the hand that feeds me, but rather trusting that hand because it feeds me, and now will to learn how such a mysterious hand that keeps the food on my plate could overlook my ugly, and my immaturity of the past, and still choose to feed me through all of it, as he sits back and plays the background, waiting and hoping for my spiritual transformation to look at him with sober eyes and declare "you are good!"....and he is good. HE IS GREAT!
