Are today's Christians properly equipped to handle spiritual warfare? Why or why not? 👀
@xJessiGirlProx6 күн бұрын
I think a lot are not. Unfortunately, many denominations- especially those that are very popular right now- are deeply uncomfortable talking about spiritual warfare, and demonic/occult practices that could impact them or those they love. Some even teach against it! I didn’t realize this was such a thing until my dad, who is a Charismatic Episcopal priest, started teaching classes on spiritual warfare and demonic influence at my church. He opened these up to everyone, and several of people who knew my family or church members through work and stuff showed up. They had been dealing with a lot of issues but their own pastors and churches never equipped them for this and were very ignorant on the issue - again, some even going so far as to say that “since you’re a Christian it can’t harm you” or “it’s not real”. I didn’t expect my dad’s classes to be quite so influential, but it really became a very important thing that helped people dealing with some very dark stuff. They felt they finally found the help they needed and that their own churches failed them. Several people had family members or children or had turned from God and were involved in demonic practices, and the family knew something was wrong but didn’t have the knowledge to understand or articulate it until they learned more, and realized. And several people were given the tools to help their family, or were set free themselves. It’s needs to be something that is taught to ministers and to the church! Not in a way that romanticizes it, or to spread paranoia or mania around the subject - but in a practical way so that people learn to spot these things before things get far or out of hand. A lot of people get themselves or their families involved with things they shouldn’t simply out of ignorance. And unfortunately a lot of ministers aren’t equipped to help them or even prevent those things from happening. The enemy is cunning, so people need to wise up!

i feel like spiritual warfare is NOT talked about enough. everyone goes through spiritual warfare. i think the bible shows us how to handle it, but it’s never been talked about enough to where we really dig into the scriptures that tell us how to deal with it.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Sooo many reasons, the church isn’t doing the body of Christ by just preaching on fluffy things. And Christian’s aren’t doing their job by staying in GODs presence and reading their Bibles. We’re too focused on looking for quick answers or prophecy. There’s sooo much missing

Wow! i feel exactly the same with this spiritual warfare too! I recently gave my life to Jesus and got baptized. Been having super weird crazy demonic dreams! I quit vaping for 17 days now, and my first week, i woke up in the middle of the night exactly around 3 am in the morning for at least 3 days straight and breaking out in sweat! And yes, I was so blind living like the world and now i see! Praise to our lord Jesus Christ our savior! And yes im at that point of my life that im only looking to christ and want to know god and serve the lord only! I feel so sad and sorry for all the lost lambs. ✝️🙏

I pray a blessing of peace that passed all understanding over you and your home. Keep strong in the lord. The spiritual warfare lasts a lifetime but it isn’t always attacking you so know that it will be worth the fight. God is greater than anyone can ever imagine. I totally get where she is coming from. I was raised in Miami, FL and it was so normal to hear people do stuff like this and you know is weird, but you don’t understand the wickedness of it. I also understand how the Holy Spirit protects us. I had a neighbor that was into witch craft and he would invite us to these types of parties. But my mom would never go because we just knew not to go. We didn’t understand until I met Christ and learned about the spiritual world.

I used to praise la santa muerte (death/satan) and it’s crazy how the enemy can make us believe we’re not doing anything wrong but lil do we know we are literally doing witchcraft. It took my dad to go into a coma for me someone to pray for us and tell me what was I really doing and thank the Lord I was delivered.

This one really resonated with me. I was in her old shoes at some point as well I lived with my in laws experienced many things that did not sit with my spirit and always made me feel uneasy. I looked at my partner and didn’ understand how he didn’t realize this did not feel right. It took me a good second to realize this is all they have ever known. It never dawned on me how truly lost people are. I myself am out of that situation now but I still struggle with my partner when it comes to his traditional Mexican family traditions. I don’t want those curses to be passed on to our children. I’m constantly struggling to upkeep this battle. Please pray for me.

No wonder Paul would get so frustrated… I was a sleepy Christian and once you see how asleep you were, how much more vigilant we must be and contend for the faith! For the joy set before us … people are watching and we need to be the people that are bold enough to live out what’s inside of us. He is too good to keep quiet about. I related to a lot of things she said… today, I literally told my sister that I don’t enjoy the worship portion of church bc she was showing me some Christian songs. I also think I’m going through some spiritual warfare.. currently 4am and watching this. I, too, feel like God has been speaking to me through the Bible and others. A lot of “coincidence” some might say, but I know it’s God. Today I prayed and begged him to take the evil away from me bc I keep having these crazy thoughts and doubts. Didn’t know what spiritual warfare was until this video. Thank you for sharing your testimony.

The trailer caught my attention because of your use of the phrase devil's playground. I was once walking in downtown in LA with my family and I heard a homeless man mumbling something in what sounded possibly like Arabic. As we passed him my family continued to hear a different language but I heard him say "welcome to the downtown, the devil's playground" plain as day. There was a time when I was angry with God where I had given myself to the enemy and experienced many of the things Yamisel describes regarding spiritual warfare, notably out of body experiences, dreams, shadows (one of which physically knocked over a tree). I've experienced overflowing of the Holy Spirit (peace, joy, love) and being in the presence of the enemy (constant rage). When I was done throwing my spiritual temper tantrum and I realized the danged I was putting myself in eternal danger the moment I asked God to save me, the demons released me and fled. Spiritual warfare is real. God is victorious.

It really gives a good depiction of what’s happening in the spirit realm when we’re being attacked in the physical realm is such a good story of like how the wars that are raised in the heavenly realms like above us when we pray, that’s why I really like the book. I haven’t read any of his other books, but that book I’ve read more than once because it just reminds you that there is a warfare that has taken place and it gives like a good depiction of what I think it’s happening basically read it! lol

I'd say it's not completely black & white like that. Though asking saints to pray for you as well as praying to Mary are not Christian practices, that doesn't necessarily mean a person who does it isn't a Christian. God knows our hearts/our true understanding of things & winks on genuine ignorance, so the faith a person has based on truth that they are exposed to has got to be a factor IMO.

Then again you are able to choose from the depths of everything that you've been thought and there's no bounds to what people are insanely capable of and man's heart grows more weary everyday and the Churches too carry out alot of this with millionaire pastors being paid off

Throwing “parties” or festivals for saints is a normal thing in Hispanic , Mexican culture. They intertwine these with their catholic faith. Dedicating children to a saint is also normal in the catholic faith. In Mexico you see a lot of witchcraft mixed with Catholicism . This is why many who are from Hispanic culture are so against the Catholic Church once they get saved , because they realize that it was wrong. I realize she wasn’t catholic , but a lot of the things she’s talking about sounds very similar to the people / family I grew up around from Mexico . In the small village my parents are from there is a “saint” that is dedicated to that village and they do a festival for it every year 🙄. And mix Indian / aztec dances in with it… it’s weird… and They don’t even realize what they are doing spiritually.
