Appreciate the transparency, and I think that is missing in Christian culture. We will continue to compress the darkness we are dealing with like Tedashii said unless we can feel vulnerable enough to air it out and deal with it...ultimately lifting it up to our Abba Father. Enjoyed your talk, always appreciated the realness in both of your music as well. You have given me many talking points with my sons in your lyrics as we are regularly playing it in our home.

now, who else noticed someone a few comments down is suffering from loved ones dying & contemplating suicide? I never write on the internet. never. but I need to right now. Somebody willing to hear me out, listen up plz: There's a different struggle that's been happening even longer than Covid-19. But Lecrae and Tedashii didn't speak on it but to me it seems like 90's kids 30 and younger are SILENT. dealing with such deep depression like this nonstop silent killing of all hope going on in their minds ... I know I have been - and a bunch of ppl I know - all stuck in their own lives and connections drifted apart long ago starting with the whole social media craze... detached from their communities (such as ppl more accustom to an "individualist culture" as Lecrae and Tadashi were referencing ) doesn't really matter their color it's really about the young ppl who don't have much family at all, who live in the states around 30 without any support around them. (note: I only know my situation as I see it and then others and the things were all saying (or not saying) maybe a little older & they now have kids too but however you wanna explain it, it's happening like a collapse from the inside out. it's a silencing and distracting that's been going on against a lot of younger ppl in America & it's been like this for at least 10 years in the states - def before coronavirus- Theres SO many young ppl who haven't had that kind of kinship and community Tedashii and Lecrae were talking about but are young, loving ppl, lovin' God, maybe rockin gospel hip hop, metal whatever, maybe not but they're tryin to find their roots, trying to be involved in something real with God and others, trying to connect but continuously ending up by themselves again, no real connections whether in public or behind closed doors, silent again and again in their pain and struggles, . c'mon.. is there some other ppl here that can attest? we need to finally speak up and help each other and reach out. I'm so heartbroken at the loss and disconnect of all my friends and family... no fellowship, no one to talk with or rock with, alone constantly, drugs, suicide, IM SO TIRED OF IT! There are way too many people silently losing hope and we need to speak to eachother!

I feel u Tedashii! I went thru something similar when I got sick in 2012. Life b4 then was pretty good. Got married in 05, rededicated my life to Christ in 2008 but the end of 2011 going into 2012 hit me hard. Got fired from my job, my daughter was acting a fool and I was diagnosed with a rare and deadly blood disorder. I kept a fake smile on my face thru it all telln people "I'm doing ok. We'll get thru this. God will make a way." When really my whole soul was screaming WTF is going on? What did I do to make God so angry with me? I had been told that because of the disorder I would need to have surgery to have my spleen removed. I was totally against because I had never been under the knife b4. But then things turned for the worst and I had no choice. We thought that after the surgery, I would be healed and could go back to life how it was. Not so. The surgery didn't work, I kept having to do chemo-like therapy and nothing was working. That's when I said " U know what God, if u don't care...U not going to answer any of my prayers and heal me, then I'm done. Forget this church mess and forget U." Like I was angry with God. I didn't totally walk away from Him but I start going back to the old me and coping how I only knew how. Sex and alcohol. I ended up in an affair with a man for six and a half years and started drinking more and more. I didn't really start coming out of that until 2018-2019. I say all that to say this. Don't think that just because u a die-hard Christian doesn't mean u won't get hit hard and not question God or even walk away. Job did it, as well as Jonah but it doesn't mean that God still won't extend His love, mercy and grace to u. U just gotta humble yourself and just be real with Him. Thanks Crae and Tedashii for this. Praying for u both. God bless 🙏🏽

Honestly do as the others have said, read your Bible(especially Psalms), pray and be fully open with God, share your pain with people close to you and also do therapy. I can't give you a magic recipe for how to overcome this but I pray the Lord strengthens you and helps you overcome this difficult time family!

I agree with everyone. Download the Bible app, the NLT version and let it play out loud or in your headphones and God will give you peace. I know this because He does it for me. I struggle with insomnia and when I listen to the word and think on it, such a calm feeling comes over me, like God wraps me in his arms and I'm sleeping before I know it. Amen!!! God won't leave you. He's right there with you. Talk to him just as you would a bestfriend. Tell him everything. He wants to talk to you more than you think. He made you and he loves you more than you can ever think or imagine. Sending my love ❤❤❤
