This aftermarket charger is not worth it: 1. The charging time difference is pretty small. For level 1 users, people expect to charge overnight anyway. If it finishes charging at 5 am vs 6 am makes not much difference. 2. Many household outlets have 15 A breakers, so the Jeep charger won’t overload them. Unless you have a 20A circuit breaker on your garage outlet and there is nothing else on the same circuit, using a 15A charger is plain risky and downright dangerous. 3. My Jeep Level 1 charger never has any issues. So I will highly recommend avoiding this aftermarket charger

Agree to disagree. I have been using this charger religiously and it has been great. It is only slightly faster than the stock, yes. But when you are charging at work, I am glad to get every extra electron I can get. I love getting free juice from work! Most houses have 15 or 20 amp circuits and you should run at 80% of that capacity. If yours doesn’t have a 20amp like mine, you are pushing the limits and will likely trip the breaker. Let me add that my Tesla didn’t come with a charger and because I had this unit, I didn’t need to buy one. When charging a bigger battery like the Tesla, you want the strongest charger available to you. The Lectron has been great. 👍🏻 😊

@@DZ-cm5xw absolutely, but let me add that you have to use the j1772 to NACs adapter. I have been using it this week with my new model s and it’s been issue free. More on that to come soon. I’m way behind on editing. Life and my real job keeping me busy. /realworldproblems/ LOL!

I agree with you. That savings of 23 minutes isn't enough for me to spend the extra money. I have a 2024 Wrangler 4xe and the cord that came with it is connected to a 15 amp circuit and it's not been a problem for the 4 months that I've been using it. Also, I think a better way to test is to start at zero % charge and going to fully charged. Here's what I noticed, when I first plug in, the time will say 12 hours 15 mins to fully charged using the cord that came with the Jeep. But, it is consistently charged at 11 hrs and 30 minutes. I, however, appreciate the effort in making the video and providing us with an option. So, Thank you

@@ronaldseoane1839 Appreciate it. It makes a bigger difference for bigger battery cars, like my Model S. As I said though, it’s only a small margin difference for the 4Xe. I wish my 4Xe had a 40 mile range or even better. It would be perfect.

there is no such thing as a portable car charger this is just a connector the charger is on the vehicle. This is basic
