Loans are the debt provided by bank or FI to meet the specific requirement on an individual for a specified period of time ..ex. car loan, education loan, home loan 2. This can be for long term or short term 3. Repayment of the loan is in the form of principal and interest i.e. EMI 4. The loan can be secured or unsecured.. Advances.. Advances are the form of debt given to meet the working capital requirement of a business for a short period of time i e. One year. Ex OD, Cc 2. The intrest is charged on the utilised portion of limit and and is to be repaid on demand 3. The financial position of the business is to be assessed every year...a/c is to be renewed every year.. 4.advances are of secured nature
