In this video we go over the visual culture of the Iberian Peninsula, well, at least all of it up to the time of the Conquest. It's a complicated history, Celti-Iberian, Roman, Visigothic, Muslim, and Early Modern. All of these styles blend together and are imported to the New World, so it's important to get them down when we start talking about Mexico and Peru in the 16th C.

I have listened to all of your lectures except for a few on modern art, most of them more than once I appreciate your very sincere efforts to identify the virtues of modern art. But I love medieval and classical art so much more. I can't wait for your next series of lectures.
