Thanks, these lectures are very well explained (much better than most textbooks). I just wondered how the crystal "momentum" links to energy. Why is it still parabolic? Its definitely similar to the electron dispersion relationship. Also what energy are we looking at? is it the electrons energy or the "made up crystal energy" associated with the crystal "momentum". Many thanks.
