Dr Swan, there is another term that i encountered i.e. social perception. What is the difference between social cognition and social perception

I would say that social perception is a function/process of social cognition, just like perception is a process of cognition. We’re just putting that process into a social context, so your perception of yourself, of others (real or imagined), and groups in a social context.
