with the deteriorating quality of education in India, Nptel is a saviour....extremely helpful. Thank you proffesor Natrajan. :-) all lectures are awesome .

Thank you professor. Your videos helped me graduate from a little known(rather in top 3000) university with a first class in EE. Now I work at the worlds top 11th university. You have blessed the world with your videos. Thanks India!

I am still watching your videos, just to learn how I now teach these topics as a TA to new undergraduates.

@@edwardkumarkenway1875 yep. I found it sometime back. THe thing that happens when you graduate & start working is that you dont have enough time to follow those. I was a boy when I found these videos. Now i'm married :-P

GREAT Explanation..!!! Detailed Explanations like these are missing in mostly all of the famous Electronic books by just mentioning the Barkhausen conditions in two lines, which leave us forever to have the idea that Oscillators are just confusing..

15 years back, his CRO was not able to measure frequency directly. :o He had to use function generator and find it by overlapping. i have gained respect for this little feature in my DSO now.

yes, oscillator is the most important part in the rf circuit. add in phase lock loop and varicap can form a "Voltage Control Cscillator" circuit

If i am not wrong , in the twin t oscillator network , the feedback through the bridge should be into the non inverting terminal because the twin t circuit provides zero phase shift.

@ Rajendra Roul: You can't have any high gain amplifier in the open loop, should be in -ve feedback except comparator. Strictly speaking there is no small signal gain definition for open loop and +ve feedback systems.

Its the awsum lecture just should have provided notes in wich whole answer could be seen but hats off ...such big derivation taught damn easily....even i derived the same for BJT as well as FET the answer comes out to be same

here the feedback gain is infinite..so for even zero or no input signal(ac),there is also some finite output..but my question is that without applying any feedback,if the open loop gain will be infinite, then there should be some output signal(may not oscillating)..?????,but its not occurig..wh its so,,sir!!!!!!!

I didn't understand the effect of making A*b greater than 1. As I can see, it seems the oscilation keeps stable even for A*b greater than 1. Is it true ? The wave don't saturate the amp op ???
