Due to Ariely's recent academic misconduct and data fraud, I tend to believe the experiment evidence (the figure in Slide 21) was too regular to be true, especially given such a small sample size.

I am partially naive. I set a deadline knowing fully that if i dont set a deadline i might push it further and further but once the deadline come I might actually not have done it on time or I might finish it like few hours later or few days later. If i understand correctly? Commitment devices dont work for me. I am person who kinda likes risks. Commitment contract works for me but depens on the rules. In India case study, since there is no set of schedule, people will make more mistakes n feel no problem with that even they get paid half of if they do the job correctly tho they spend same hours because they think think they can come and go as they want and no incentives so the failures means less to them. What kinda trade is this?

You can slow it down in the settings on top right. Its not so much the speed for me but the higher pitch he puts in odd places like hes asking a question in the middle of his own statement.
