The geologic history of the region has produced a unique landscape in the upper Midwest that provides the setting for much of Eric Carson’s research. The discussion includes his recent efforts mapping the surficial geology of the Driftless Area, and also highlights his recent research along the Kickapoo, lower Wisconsin, and upper Mississippi River valleys.
