"Therefore" compelling. "Yet" would indicate a surprising connection rather than an obviously complimentary one. Same goes for alas. Alas indicates a negative, but I find many people use it to indicate a positive. And if you are going to judge me for correcting grammar as being useless or part of the game etc then don't use language to do it 😜 Culture and language are agreed upon rules that while being ultimately arbitrary are necessary for basic communication and cooperation. No escape.

There isn't a single atom in the universe that is in the "wrong" place. There isn't a single being that is enlightened or unenlightened. All there is is what there is. Do not take seriously what the gods made for fun. The point is to dance while the music is on.
@shaygahweh
@shaygahweh 7 жыл бұрын
we all have a hard time dancing to the music that is playing for us. if it was easy it wouldn't be interesting. one of the best pleasures in life is when your pain and frustration come close to defeating you, then you let go of trying to win!
@shaygahweh
@shaygahweh 7 жыл бұрын
trying to escape from pain is precisely the pain. i am aware that this sounds abhorrent to everyone who is in pain. there is no option but to surrender fully and let pain do as it wants with us. life is suffering, you already knew that.

This is why it's important to understand that all these gurus and "enlightened" people are full of shit. UG Krishnamurti is no exception, for he was playing a role just as much as anybody else. Ultimately, we all play precisely the role that we want to play.

I still think resistance to pain is futile. And not only that, it acts as a positive feedback mechanism that exacerbates the pain. If pain wasn't a problem, we wouldn't be trying to get away from it and we certainly wouldn't need gurus or monks or what have you. Yet these very people insist that life is pain and there is no problem to be solved. This begs the question: why do gurus and monks exist to begin with? Isn't the very notion of "teaching" people how to deal with pain hypocritical, since they say there is nothing that can be done? I won't pretend to know the answer to these questions. Yet my delusional self still thinks that pain is not a problem, and nor is anything else. Even breathing is not a duty, why should anything else be a duty?

shaygahweh what is pain? It's just a signal that you label. But in the end, the body does not need to label a sensation as pain. It can handle itself. Pain is a thought attached to a sensation.

Elsewhere, UG had said that there is nothing called enlightenment and here in this episode he says there are very few enlightened people in this world ; so there is such a thing called enlightenment after all, it has to be, but it has no religiosity or mystical quantity to it ; in other words, being in one's natural state is our true nature ; trying to be something or someone other than what we are is our problem ; due to wrong identification of mind and body to be ourselves is the root cause !

Indeed my friend. Actually it's much more of this kind self denials in UG's speeches. IMO the reason of this is the fact that UG felt into words trap - he tried to explain almost everything by words, what is impossible because primo - too many things are untranslatable to any language (yep, I know that he mentioned it sometimes - that's why I wrote "almost", but this "almost" is still to close to "to many") and secundo - he seems to didn't recognize (or at least emphasize) the paradoxical (!) nature of everything, which - as a way of "looking" at things - can change your whole way of thinking/behaving/responding/living/functioning (you name it). BTW in fact... everything what I just wrote does and doesn't matter at the same time hahaha :P ;) (because at the very end you choose YOUR OWN meaning/purpose of it). Greeting and best wishes for all of you! =] P.S. OFC I find myself very pleased by UG's thoughts and haven't any asks for him at all :). He was such an honest "biorobot"! :)

And what exactly are you? There is no escape. You are already in the game. At a specific time and place. In a specific genetic and cultural matrix. The real point is to give up any search because it is futile. Survival is the only game. Philosophy and religion and science deals with the outer edges of what can be known by the human being. Enlightenment is the realization that the ultimate cannot be known, while the seekers of enlightenment seek that very thing. Give up. No escape.

@@keszamotPL Such is the curse of being a loner outside of a spiritual tradition. Countless people within the dharmic traditions have worked out a framework over millennia, and it's valuable. Ignore it, and it's easy to lose the way.

What you mean by new experience? You say we experience by the ideas encoded in our brain called memory. So, even those interpretations were not new in the past! It was just interpretations based on the previous interpretations. As a result, mankind has started interpretating the world at a point in his history. But that was not new too. So, the way you define something new result in we are livinng in an illusionary world

For an anti-guru, he sure does like to hear himself speak. A lot. "There is no ME anymore, I just have to use the grammar" is a lot of bullshit. All the self-worth self-congratulatory mechanisms are there, in plain view, fed by all the attention he received from others.
