This is also why all year outdoor orchid growers have more blooms and more often. Good experiment. Blessings from where the grass never grows and the water never flows. 🌵 😇

Fascinating, Amy! Now I have to try some LED lights! I always tell friends who don’t garden that gardening is part art, part science. Your experiment is both, the science in the implementation, the art in the beauty of color and shape and how to use them 💕🙏🌸🥳🙌

What a great comment...thank you!! 😇 There's a lot of science and a lot of art 🎨 that goes into any type of gardening. You'll love LED lights. Takes growing to a whole new level. Have a great day, 😇 my friend! 🌺🌸😊

......Amy,...such beautiful blooms on those healthy looking cattleya's .....I wish more growers would do experiments like this. .....and Paula is a wealth of good information......It shows that when we give orchids what they need, and the closer we mimic mother nature.....they grow so much better.......have a very blessed week.

Thank you so much, Rick! I enjoy doing these experiments...you never know til you try! Paula's is even deeper gold than mine, I find that fascinating. I'm so glad she shared her video with me. I know where I use leds, the plants act like they're on steroids. Lol! And that's with quite a bit of natural light in my sunroom. Have a great day...always so good to hear from you! 😇

I am so excited to hear this video because it confirms what has happened to me with both my true CC (not my 100 year old CC) and my orchids. My orchids have bloomed. Three years no blooms, then I took your suggestion and bought two LED lights and now I have blooms. My CC has bloomed again and my two orchids have also. As I previously mentioned no blooms on my Tolumnia yet but I’m hopeful.

I'm so glad to hear that your orchids and Christmas cacti bloomed under the LEDS!! 🎉🎉🎉 CONGRATULATIONS 🎊Lenore!! Thank you for letting me know...that makes me 😊 Happy! Your Tolumnias will bloom...it might not be time for them to bloom yet. Mine have a set time of the year they bloom, and it differs from plant to plant. Blessings, my friend! 😇🌸

I find the same thing with my violets under led. The led often changes my red blooms to maroon or mauve. You never know!! Blessings to you also. !

Oh wow, your african violets change also? That's interesting 🤔 I may have to see what mine will do. 😁
@SS116606 ай бұрын
@hillbillyorchids it seems to be red ones... the full spectrum grow lights have a lot of red in them so it kinda depends on the light make up t but mine do. I use full spectrum cool.

@SS11660 Ah ok I have cool and warm lights so wonder what the differences would be. Thanks for sharing 👍 I appreciate it. 😁

I use leds with my violets as well. It completely changes the color intensity of the leaves and blooms. I have a purple one with pink spots called Star Trick...under led it has lots more pink spots. Thanks for sharing and have a great day! 😇

@@OrchidWhisperer The light is in the same pot. About 10" above the plant. I'm not sure which light setting it should be on? It's on 12 hours a day.
